hi folks,
i've got a bunch of pretty raw mung bean sprouts, but don't like the taste much of them raw.
I was thinking if i marinaded them for several hours they might get more palatable to me.....
Any other ideas?

Hi meg,

Have you been to www.goneraw.com yet? If I remember correctly, there were several new recipes using mung bean sprouts on there recently!

Here are a couple of the newest ones:

meg, two things I like to do:
1) raw stir fry. Chop up veggies of your choice. I like say green onions, grated carrots, snow or sugar snap peas, thinly sliced celery, sweet ripe peppers (red, orange, yellow, etc), some type of broccoli/cauliflower or chinese broccoli. Marinate in a nice asian flavored sauce and dehydrate a little to soften.

2) wraps. Mostly Thai influenced collard wraps with various ingredients, cilantro, etc...

3) there's also Phat Thai!! I don't have an official recipe, but I like to use young coconut in it, cilantro, tamarind...

Maybe someone else could give you a recipe.
