I'm new at this and would like information on the different kinds of fasts and what is best. Are they specific in what they accomplish?
Thanks in advance for your help.

All fasts basically accomplish the same task: detoxing. However, some use the Master Cleanse which is the same mixture over and over and over (cayenne, maple syrup, and lemon juice in water). The Master Cleanse is not raw, but you can do a raw version. The juice fast is another type of fasting. Since it is raw it'll detox you a bit further and quicker. Juice provides your digestive system a break, but does not completely shut it off. Juice fasting provides you nutrients and energy to keep working and stuff. Water fasting is the most intense of them all and the most pure. You should completely rest with water fasting.

One is not necessarily better than the other. They serve different purposes. I would urge you to consider anything above water fasting, though. :-)
