RAW XRAY ed in the mail ??

Hi,

I just got a package of raw food in the mail. And it was clearly marked


RAW ORGANIC FOOD - ILLEGAL TO XRAY!!!

Of course this is good. But it got me thinking. What is the possibility a
raw mail order can be X rayed? Could it have been xrayed BEFORE they
got the shipment. Could unobservant mail workers still xray it.\
on the way? Would it make it WORSE than cooked?

Are all raw food shipments marked this way? are they safe?

If I were security, that would definately be a red light to x-ray it.

I mean, red flag....I'm tired.

Sharon, if I remember correctly when my package of sprout seeds from Canada arrived it had the sticker on it, but also a stamp that it was approved by the Canada Agricultural Department, or something like that. They do have permission to open any packages even if they can't x-ray them.

No problem . I knew what you meant. Actually I almost added a similar
thought to my original post - but didn't want you all to think I WAS unnecassarily paranoid.

BUT - I can see I'm not alone. So, I was going to add Paranoid postal
worker. But in the post 9-11 world what is paranoid - and what is just being safe?

But if I'm going to eat raw I really NEED to order mail order. and I NEED to insure my packages are safe! And as advertized. And at the high prices this could even make you mad!

I sure hope no terrorist or crazy hermits become raw!-of course if they did use that ,it WOULD be a red flag.............but still
