Hello all!
I'm Sue, new to raw (a week & 3 days!)! Hoping to find a world of information, and support from everyone! I don't have Alissa's book as of yet(ordered it Saturday) and looking forward to reading it! I have lost 10lbs. so far....my calorie intake is somewhat lower-between 750 and 1000 (working on this), but I feel wonderful! I need to lose around 70-85 lbs.-would love to be a size 6-8 again. I am not doing this just as a weight loss method, I want this to be a complete lifestyle change....I am trying to avoid getting Type II diabetes as my Mom and Dad both have it. 2 of my friends were recently diagnosed (one with Type 1, the other with Type II). Things just really hit close to home, and I don't want to be in the same boat.

Welcome, Butterfly, both to the raw life and to this great support group. You'll be so happy when you get Alissa's book. Be sure to look at the section on going 100% raw and the 4 weeks of recipes. And, of course, all the good information on enzymes and soaking and sprouting!!

Have a great time fluttering! Are you going to start a journal or do the 30 day challenge?

Thanks all, for the welcome! I have started a journal, and made sure I put in all my menus from the beginning in them. How do I do the challenge? Is it something I have to sign up for? Or do I just do it?

Thanks!

Just by journalling and eating raw-you're doing the challenge! :)
