View Full Version : wheat germ or nutritional yeast in bread?

has anyone used either of these ingredients when making sprouted bread? tasting wheat germ it seems like it woud go well with it, and i was thinkin the yeast might make it rise...

nutritional yeast won't make bread rise - it's totally different from bakers yeast. (and from brewer's yeast if we want to specify.)
i know you can get raw or untoasted wheat germ, but not sure if wheat germ is technically raw... anybody? if it is, i imagine it would be pretty tasty, but somehow i doubt it... have to ask the gurus on that one. :)

I've used raw wheat germ in wrap recipes... worked fine.
