Hi. I made almond milk two days ago and so this morn i put some of Alissas raw oats in it. Well i could not eat it as it had not soaked up any of the milk so i left it while i went to church and shopping. I did eat it but the texture is a little tough or rubbery. Is there a secret to how one has raw cereal so it is easier on the teeth to chew and the tummy to digest? Thanks.
Almond milk is soooo yummy. :D

Soak in water overnight, then drain & add the milk.

Just thanks. Don't know why i didnt think of that. Just like all seeds and nuts. I guess cause it is flattened i thought that it was not necessary.

Have you guys ever ground the oats up first before soaking?

I haven't since they're already flaked & I choose to do as little prep work as possible (lol), but may be good to do for some recipes.
