I had a checkup with my doctor today. We were talking about running the 10 mile Crim race in August and I told her how I used to run it in 7 min miles. She was like "oh, you'll never do that again, not at 34." Hello lady, Im not 90! I think I have to do it just to prove her wrong! Also, I am going to find a more holistic doctor! I can't stand having to fight with them about things. I had to sneak out today because they wanted to give me a tetanus shot!

When I ran my first half marathon I was told it was 90% mental and 10% physical.
To the person who put you down- oh please, I beg to disagree. I constantly have people who are elderly passing me up!!! It's not about age but about diet and conditioning. ;)

Doctors - UGH! Don't even get me started on that topic! You all know how I feel about 'em. And yeah, I'd feel the same way about proving her wrong! You'll be able to do it. Shoot! I hadn't really ridden my bike for much distance this year and I pulled off 80 miles Saturday a couple weeks ago! Mind over matter g/f - mind over matter.

Well, my mom is still running it in under the 8 min mile and she is 54. Actually, the last 2 yrs she might have been right around the 8 min mile.
