Hello all
I am new here as well as new to raw foods...I have been experimenting with Alissa's recipes for a couple of weeks now. I also took a raw foods class, I enjoyed it so much now I want to try everything... I was wondering if anyone has ever made the Pineapple Apple Salad???? I was thinking of trying it. I love Pineapple..Also do the apples turn brown at all??? Thanks so much...:)

I am not sure which recipe you are referring to, but people usually put lemon juice to keep the apples from turning brown. I wonder if the juice from the pineapple has the same effect because of the acid :confused:

The recipe is from Alissa's book It is as followed, Although I reduced it to 1 portion size...

4 Apples peeled & diced
2 cups Pineapple, chopped
1/4 cup raisins
2 Tablespoons lime juice
2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup honey

I didn't put raisins in it it yet but it taste great, better then I thought it would....I don't do honey but I used Agave instead...;)

summerstar - welcome! Anytime you add a citrus fruit to a fruit that usually will turn brown, the citrus prevents it. I bet it was yummy!
