Hi,
I've been high raw (75-95%) for almost a month now. I've lost approx 6lbs -mainly in the first two weeks. I've stayed at my same weight since then BUT I'm losing inches which is great. But I'm wondering how can you lose inches but not lose weight? Where is it going? I work out on an eliptical or go hiking about 4-5 days a week for 30 min. I also do some yoga a few times a week but no real strength training. Anyone have any answers?

Well, muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space. So you may have lost several pounds of fat and gained just as much weight in muscle... hence the scale standing still, but the pants fitting loser.
That's why its much more accurate to go by how our clothes fit and how we feel, as opposed to the number on the scale. Also, this is why a person who weighs 125 pounds and is a couch potato will look completley different and be an entirely different size from a person who weighs 125 pounds and is active.
Congratulations! You are getting leaner!

Even though you don't strength train, you can still build muscle. Yoga is definitely a great way to get toned, as is hiking! Kudos! I have no idea how much I weigh. I haven't weighed myself in months. All I know is I look better and I feel great. Getting rid of the scale is very liberating...because when your lifestyle IS fitness and health, weight really doesn't matter.

Thats very true. Fat is lot bulkier than muscles and which is why it looks that you have not gained any muscles. But it is actually that you have lost fat and converted that energy into muscle structure. You do yoga and is it very good. Work for me also. Yoga builds up inner energy, continue with it and you will see results.

Yes, I, too, have lost some fat but not weight. After two weeks on RAW, I lost three pounds. Today, however, I jumped on the scale and have gained one back. Yet, I still "look" better. I must be going through the detox now too as I feel quite crummy. Nausea, aches & pains, bloating, gas, very tired and depressed. I will look for a detox thread for some assistance. Even feeling this poorly, though, I want to stay with this and can't wait for improved health.
