View Full Version : Green Powder
I just bought my first jar of green powder and I was warned it tasted very bad.
What tricks can I use to spruse it up?

I mix 2 tablespoons of green powder into my morning smoothie! :)
UUUGGGG...
There has got to be a better way, My shake was horrable , but I drank it.
Has anyone mines the 2 table spoons in a shot glass to get it over with fast?
I was thinking of doing that ad adding a lemon to it to cover some of the taste?

i have the same problem with green powder...every morning i say to myself...ok today i'm gonna have a green smoothie, but then i never wanna sacrifice the good taste of the fruit with that aweful taste, so i don't :) it just ruines a good smoothie, but it is good for you :)

What I do, is squeeze out cup or two of OJ and use it in that. I make really huge fruit shakes and enjoy the taste of them too much to ruin it with green powder. I agree with you though, yuck, I just got a gigantic tub of it from Garden of Life and thought it was supposed to taste good, but it's really, really strong - very difficult to get down. After I'm done with this tub I'm going to do more green smoothies instead.

I'm not taking any now, but when I used to, i just threw it in my mouth dry all by itself..lol It was so much quicker and easier and I got used to it rather quickly.

There are some decent-tasting green powders out there. The first one I tried made me gag -- so, I know what you're going through. Maybe try switching brands when you run out of your current one...
Well I took my pwder back, I took it for 3 days, and I started break threw bleeding while taking my bc pills.
Not all of them said "do not use while using oral controceptives"
But I feel i am eating a veriety of foods , so maybe I will try again later.
I love the green powder I purchased from Alissa's site. I'm not sure if you make almond milk but one of my favorite combinations is to add 1 1/2 cups of almond milk to the blender with 1 very ripe banana (can also use frozen) and 1 tablespoon of the green powder...yum! Definitely try this.
