has anyone tried blending sprouted grains, forming them into noodles, and then dehydrating them ... and afterwards getting them moist enough to be soft, similar to real noodles?

it would be sweet if that worked

Did you see the thread here yesterday about the fresh kelp noodles. It may be what you need and would be healthier than the grain ones.

I love Kelp Noodles, I ordered 12 packs of them. When you first taste there kinda crunchy, but once on a salad with dressing etc they become softer almost like ramen noodles. OOOOHHH SO GOOD!

I have never had any kind of sea greens and I really want to order some of the sea veggies but hate to have to order a case of it if it taste anything like fish, fishy, ocean type flavor. As a child i had to take liquid cod liver oil and so i have a major problem with anything that has a fish flavor. Please would someone give me an idea of what sea veggies taste like? I cannot buy them here. No one will order them either as what will they do with a case of something that no one would buy from them.
thanks

Hi Durianrider,

I agree that it really IS simpler to just spiralize some veggies for "pasta" but we should also keep in mind that some people are still in a transitional state and want to try and get the effect of the SAD pasta as the veggies (for some) don't come close. Also, for many there is like a "fun challenge" in experimenting with creating raw foods that taste like or close to their old favorites! :)

But I also wanted to mention to you that RFT is based upon Alissa's book/dvd and in her book she doesn't teach against using SPROUTED grains (some of her recipes use them). Some people fair well on soaked and sprouted grains... others may not - some prefer them and some do not.

But on RFT, we don't insist or insinuate that people "shouldn't" eat them - Alissa doesn't teach the "grains are bad and for the birds" philosophy (and again, this forum is based upon her approach as seen in her book and dvd) so please, let's keep that in mind when responding to people asking about sprouted grain recipes or anything else for that matter.

Thanks bunches! :)

P.S. LOVE your enthusiasm!! :D
