Can anyone see energy fields (auras?)

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has the gift or ability to see these energy bodies/auras. The books say you can train yourself to see them, has anyone learned to do this?

Years ago I was able to see auras......I repressed it and as of last week, I'm starting to see them again. I can also see my chakras and it is new to me so I tend to block it as I am learning to allow them to surface.

The most intersting thing that has been happening to me, is the ability to feel and know when the sun will burst out with or w/o blue skies. Often times I will be in a dark room meditating and my body will feel as though the sun's rays are hovering around me ( a cue) and then I look out the window and around the corner, I see the sun ready to fire out of the clouds.
I have never been wrong yet and it's the strangest feeling---one I need to pay attention too.

Have you experienced anything with auras,chakras etc? Such a fascinating subject! :)

unless they present themselveds I cant -like this one spirit I knew breifly "smoky" presented himself in a dust storm-ish way ,he was a rapist and often breathed heavily over me while sleeping-creepy ,lol I DID ALOT OF SMUDGING!!!!!

Hi Emma. I can see people's energy fields, but for some reason only when they are against a light background such as a pale wall etc. I did not make an effort to be able to...I just can. I dont know why I can really. What I find very interesting is the fact I can't see the energy fields of animals.

I wonder if rawpriestess can? Where are you lady of the lake?

Ahhh, Sweetgoddess, I must have "felt" you call me.

Yes, I do see auras, they are actually pretty easy to learn to see.

As Sweetgoddess came by it naturally, much like a talent in playing the piano or singing, you can learn to increase your skill or ability level.

Like Sweetgoddess says, put any organic thing in front of a light colored wall, defocus your eyes a bit, and notice that there seems to be a whitish, kind of glowing ring around the object, that is the aura.

Now move it, and see the aura move.

Now place something next to it, but slightly parted, say by 1 to 2 feet, you should be able to see 2 auras, as you move them closer to each other, there will be a time that the auras actually reach out towards each other, this is way cool, and of course, some auras are repelled by each other.

Now take some canned or boxed food. Do you see an aura? IF there is one, is is usually very dark and week.

all things organic including rocks have auras, I believe the aura is like the soul shingin through, so all things have souls, even rocks, everything is made up of the same stuff.

Can't see animal auras huh? Try putting an animal in front of a light background, (making them stay still is the hard part), try using music to change the animlas energy field, it may be that they are so calm around you, that they aren't putting out much aura energy.

Sometimes music changes energy fields drastically. At least it does mine. I am very sensitive to music, so we hardly ever have it playing.

Too many years as a professional dancer, I suppose. I always thought of it as work to be done.

you would feel a very bad energy were I live -I live in a 200+ year old house (it was a big southern mansion , but got torn down and rebuilt during the depression,so its sorta 200 yrs old) and just feels bad -I found an indian scalp in a brown paper bag in my room -FAREEEEAAKKKYYYY!!! I hate this place -its VERY negative,the whole town really has a bad aura....but Im working to make it better and will move soon!

I used to practice seeing my own aura. I did this just the other day, and like SG, had to have my hand in front of a light background.

So, some people can see them on others even if NOT near a light background?

I don't even remember what the colors represent. It's been a while ago since I studied this.

I have tried to practice seeing aura's and sort of can 'sometimes'. I can move energy and feel it when I make energy balls or do sweeps and breaths with Quantum Touch Healing. Really fun stuff to play with. ;)

Thanks to everyone for these great responses. :) Sometimes I can see the milky whitish blue glow around things very slightly, but I can't see colors. Does anyone see actual colors, or light around the heads of people?


hi Miss Linda, that's interesting that you used to be able to see auras, but repressed it. I remember once I had an experience where everything seemed to be infused with light, and it scared me alittle, and once I felt fear I couldn't see it anymore.

Violet Fairy, I once felt some very bad energy, when we we touring Warwick Castle in England and we went into the dungeon. I felt instantly sick and remained so for days. Everyone thought it was the rainy weather, but I know my being sick had something to do with that dungeon (maybe I picked up bad energy?)

Cherie and Sweet G, that's interesting that you can see the fields against a light background. My books says to practice in front of a dark background, but I still can't see much of anything....sometimes I can see a slight whitish blue glow, but only sometimes.

Raw Priestess, thanks for your tips, I will try them! I am sensitive to music also. Have you heard of The Mozart Effect? There is an institute in France (and books about it) where people have been healed of illness simply by listening to Mozart for 2 hours a day. They hypothesize that the high frequencies take disordered brain waves and put them in order, some say it raises the vibration, or has an organizing effect on the light of the body.

AngelandRose, thanks for the link to that DVD. Sometimes I can feel energy also, and am practicing techniques for this.

oh thats something I forgot to mention Emma. Have you ever looked at those Magic Eye pictures...the 3d ones? Just like those and also llike the images in your mind's eye ~you cant look directly at the aura you have to look askance or glaze your eyes over a bit. At least I do anyways. ( btw you cant look directly at fairies either.. ;) )

I see colors. Sometimes, when I am at the spiritual center I go to...and I am with people who have been in the focus of spirit for decades..their colors so amaze me I zone out of the class or conversation and get all caught up with looking at their different auras.

Rawpriestess~thank you. I am going to try that with my animal friends. I thought maybe it was how thick their fur was, that their energy field didnt extend beyond that....or that their vibration was too different .

Ok, fun. Now I know I am soon to go running around my house putting things near each other checking out their auras. Do people's auras repel? Curious. How does that manifest?

When I was a kid, my mom took a photo of someone standing by a hedge and her aura was visible in the picture. I wish I knew where that picture ended up, it was so cool.

In high school a friend of mine told me about her goofy brother... he would joke around and stand under a ceiling fan and start turning around quickly saying, "My aura's caught in the fan!"

A few times when I was in the office of my most favoritest boss ever, I could see this white glowy field around her. Never saw the colors though, and never really saw it around anyone else. :(

Sweet G, Hmm, that's interesting about how you can't look directly at it. I notice that with my hand....I have to look, then look away, to sort of see the light around it. I have a friend whose sister says she has fairies who live in her garden, and she can see them. Her sister has always been very mystical, even from an early age. Like you, she is a painter.

Sedona Sun, what great stories! I love the aura getting caught in the fan! You made me recall some stories, too.

I have a picture of me on my wedding day, standing on the steps of the church with the whole bridal party, and there is a pinkish golden funnel of light over my head. I told everyone that it was my father sending me good energy, but they kind of laughed and said they thought it was a defect in the film. But another person took a similar photo, and the same pinkish/gold funnel was there.

I also have a picture of my mom sitting under the apple tree in bloom, and the entire picture is bathed in a dreamy golden white light, almost like an impressionist painting. My mother and father's wedding song was "I'll Be With You In Apple Blossom Time." Again, I think it was my father's spirit showing up in the picture.

I met a girl once in college who had a severe car accident. She was thrown through the windshield, then was hit a second time by another car. She was in a coma, but when she awoke she could see auras. I didn't know her before the accident, we met shortly after, and she didn't like to talk about the aura thing. I think she was still trying to get used to her newfound ability. There were some people she avoided from the get-go because of their auras, and indeed those people did turn out to be kind of negative.

I get words in my head for what the person's aura colors are and where any problem areas may be, although I sometimes am not sure how to interpret what I get. Luckily, my hubby is really good at that, so I just ask him what he gets from my description. We have a strong enough link that he can usually see the person from my description and pick up from my memory the person's appearance with hir aura visible to him. We make a pretty decent team that way!

I can see auras much more readily when I'm in a coastal area. I was told once that that's oftentimes the case for people who think they can't as the nearness of the salt water enhances that ability.

Some people's aura repels, some reach out, it is just an energy thing.

But it is interesting to see that inanimate objects have auras too, as it is all energy, and if you understand quantum physics it totally makes sense.

I can just see you running around your home picking up stuff, you made me laugh right out loud.

heehee...and I did it too. My shampoo's aura is yellow....my cat wouldnt stay still for me..will have to wait until she sleeps. The map of where I am moving to next month's aura is blue.....my slipper's is very bright yellow....I could not see the aura of the Complete Book of Raw Foods.....Aliss's book has a green aura. Now I am bug-eyed :eek: exactly like that!!

hmmm i've never seen an aura. but now i'm gonna have to try this... never really gave it a whole lot of thought before this. i guess i just assumed since i never have seen them i never would but you guys have given me hope lol.

I went to my eye Dr appt today (my vision has improved 50% since going raw). So my Eye Dr is a Physic and solves Crimes, Missing Persons and such Law Enforcement Teams in the area I live in. So needless to say a visit to the Eye Dr. is always interesting. So he always does a reading on me as I enter the Office, so today after talking with me about 5 min he said he say a smokey aura around me, almost like I was actually a smoker, not just a smokey color ...I am not a smoker so he started asking me a few questions. He asked is I was disturbed about anything ? I said no not that I was aware of..he said he got the sense I was bothered by someone/something...? Been around smokers ? and did I have a post nasel drip today..? I did ! All I can think of is my husband was in a band up until 4 weeks ago and I spend many Sat nights in Smokey Bars and I could be detoxing smoke..I thought that funny but he shook his head on that one !

So we got interrupted by a patient and I came home wondering about this. Wondering if anyone here has some insight into reading the Aura's beyond the discusion above ?
