I'm sure a lot of you already know this, but it may be helpful for some folks new to raw.

When you buy bunches of cilantro or parsley, fill a small bowl or container (I use those disposable tupperware things) quarter to halfway with water, trim the ends off of the bunches, and put them in the water.

Then cover with an Evert-fresh bag, pulling the edges down into the water and expelling extra air.

I've found this method keeps the herbs much longer, much greener and fresher, and I just clip off what I need.

Thanks! I just threw out a bunch of rotten herbs and was wondering if anyone knew how to make them last longer!

Question: What's an Evert-fresh bag?

Thanks for the tip. I just might try it on the next cilantro purchase. I usually just by it when I need it so that it can get used up because it goes bad so fast...

Also what's been working for me is to wash my herbs in a 'veggie wash' bath when I get them home. Then, I rinse and shake them off. I put them in a tupperware container with a folded up paper towel over them and close the lid! Yay. I had cilantro last about 2 and 1/2 weeks with only a few bad leaves.

I just finished my cilantro, which was in the fridge for almost 3 weeks.
Here's a link to the bags; they keep produce fresh without the use of chemicals. I love them! You can find them at most HFS, I believe.
