Yes, it's a common response. Our bodies are quite clear in communicating to us, huh? Victoria Boutenko wrote it has to do with losing the nasty lining in the intestines that prevents us from properly absorbing nutrients but also protects us from cooked food. Our intestines were just starting to trust us when we pull a fast one like that!

I find that I will go all day doing just dandy eating like a good little raw girl should and then BOOM! It hits me...MUST-HAVE-HORRIBLE-COOKED-FOOD! I did it again this evening and no sooner did I finish about 7 bites of my cooked food than was I running for the throne. Ug...

and reading things like  that is one reason that i'm staying away from cooked dead foods! I'm only 72 days raw now... but I've read lots of stories on this board where peoples bodies are just sayin 'NO' to cooked foods. I have no desire to eat cooked -- but also - when you share your experience - it helps me to stay on trac. (so thank you for sharing) Will you be considering going 100% raw now? It sure sounds like your body is trying to tell you -- well - not 'trying' to tell you -- it IS telling you that it likes the raw food lifestyle a whole lot better!! ;)

Yah, you are so right. I am really having a hard time dealing with food addiction/emotional eating problems. I never realized how bad it was until I decided to go raw and stay raw. It has reared its ugly head many times. I am definitely learning the hard way that cooked is not for me.

hang in there kiddo. There are a lot of us who can relate with you about your eating addiction issues. The cool thing is that you are being real about it and acknowledging it so you can change. So many are in denial and therefore can't get free from it. Just keep on keepin on!
