Hello,

The New Moon in Gemini approaches. This actual 24 hour period is a gr8 time for fasting. On Jun 15th. It's a gr8 time to give up destructive behavior. A gr8 time to leave behind negative behavior. A time for beginnings and starting new projects.

Anyone gonna, wet or dry fast?

Anymore insight into this new moon coming, would be mucho appreciated?

Take care@

Ginger

"Great thoughts come from the heart." French philosopher Pascal

Here comes the light, airy, Gemini New Moon... right? Not exactly.

I don't know about you, but I've found the build-up to this New Moon to be quite intense and distracting. Of course... there are reasons for this... and as usual, many of them are planetary.

Before you can effectively make changes, pass go, and collect your brand new beginning, those pushy planets are once again forcing you to wake up and do some serious digging to uproot old undermining beliefs and patterns... turn another corner or two regarding the way you use your mind to reinforce your reality.

Part of the set up is harmonious and supportive helping you energize new projects and ideas. It depends in part on how well you navigated the crossroads presented by the last Full Moon and really recognized and released some of those old patterns. If you did, then the terrain will be less rocky, but if not... Pluto in Sagittarius sits across the sky revealing the shadow side of this New Moon. It demands that you confront deeply entrenched dream-stealing beliefs that keep you from using your thoughts and words positively to attract and create what you want.

Also, as you're reading this, the ruler of this New Moon, Divine Messenger Mercury, is slowing down in preparation for a 3-week retrograde journey in emotional Cancer. (I can hear a collective arghh out there as I write that.) This is the 2nd of 3 retrograde periods that will occur in emotional water signs this year. Domestic issues must be tended to and you can expect old unresolved emotions from the past to pop up so you can feel them to heal them.

You can find out more about Mercury retrograde in the Monthly Overview (http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1029146122&msgid=4891256&act=V5PR&c=43427&admin=0&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.moonsurfing.com%2Fmo-ovr.html) on our website.

All this means that both thoughts and feelings clamor for your attention and things could get dicey... spaciness is a definite possibility... and if you find communication to be more intense and emotionally driven than usual... remember this big clue... everything about this New Moon including listening is easier if you remember to breathe.

Compassion, focus, and a positive purpose will help you stay on track. So will this month's Gemini Lunar Journal (http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1029146122&msgid=4891256&act=V5PR&c=43427&admin=0&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.moonsurfing.com%2Fjou rnal.html). With all this restless intense energy, focusing is a big deal and grounding yourself is crucial. However, there's no Earth in the sky right now, so there are a couple of things you can do. First, carry forward the grounding tools you acquired when working with last month's earth plane oriented Taurus lunar journal. Next, this New Moon is one of the most super-powerful times to journal, because of the intense transformative set up and also because Gemini rules writing and journaling!

Don't forget that writing is a form of instant manifestation and feelization is the key to successfully planting those intentions. I think it's a great fun way to stay focused and combine the emotional and mental energies of this New Moon in a very cool and aware way.

And if you have a story or comment relating to your lunar journaling, please e-mail it to me. If I may share it with others, please let me know that too. I feel as though I'm journaling with a circle around the globe, but it's all in cyberspace and hearing from you... knowing that the journal is of benefit and that it works for you is very important to me.

Wherever this New Moon set up occurs in your natal chart is where you're ready to learn new things, meet new people, think differently, and expand your horizons. It all depends on how you focus your energy and right timing. If you'd like to find out how to make the most of these energies and opportunities... you're due for a personal reading (http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=1029146122&msgid=4891256&act=V5PR&c=43427&admin=0&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.moonsurfing.com%2Frea dings.html). So talk to me! I'll empower you with insights and we'll map a path to success.

You'll have opportunities through the summer to review and retool old beliefs that just won't get you where you want to go. And to cap it off... the bigger picture is occurring as Pluto once again aligns with the Galactic Center... the farthest known point in our universe... just as it did back in January . This is demanding mysterious evolutionary stuff and takes your examination of beliefs and your philosophy regarding life and humanity to a vaster deeper place.

It's just another example of how these energies are working deeply and inexorably on the whole human collective, so it's wise to be flexible, tolerant, and willing to think and see things differently. Gemini's symbol of the twins reminds you that there are at least two sides or perspectives to every situation.

Variety is the spice of life under this New Moon, but all the energies demanding change and action may just seem to be too much and you may find yourself feeling scattered, schizophrenic, over-stimulated and overly-invested in an emotional point of view. If so, slow down...breathe... and get calm and quiet by cutting out external stimulation. Get out in nature... connect with the Earth and listen to her sounds and messages along with your own inner promptings.

And take a lesson from the hummingbird. I think the hummingbird is an appropriate totem for versatile Gemini. It flits from flower to flower, but with purpose and focus. Ultimately quick and flexible, she can fly backwards and change direction at a moment's notice, but she's centered on the task at hand and her form is perfectly suited for it. Joyful, adaptable, flexible, focused, and exquisitely beautiful and airbourne...that's your image for this New Moon.

Call on the magic of the hummingbird and then open your mind, your heart, and your journal... and fly.

And remember that under a Gemini New Moon... enlightenment means keeping it light.

Lots of Love and Many New Moon Blessings,
Claudia

Wow Thanks E...

I need to go workout and make a green smoothie, so I will def read it asap.

And Dry fast means no water, no food. Just the air ya breath! See I listen.

I do have a question to throw out there... How does each moon specifically effect an individuals chart??? Say for example if you have Gemini in House number 2 ( for those Astrology buffs) This New Moon is in Gemini, so will it effect you mostly in that area? Anyone know? What does it have to do with fasting? Well, if the moon effects the body, I want to be able to channel it in a progressive way. For example, I was born with a Gibbous moon type. So how does each moon phase effect me? So many questions. LOL

Thanks tho be back laters!

I think I will be either dry fasting or maybe a little water.. I am starting tonight at midnight. My goal is 24 hours but I may end up doing more. I usually do 3 days minimum.

Ok so I had one meal yesterday afternoon so in a few hours it will be the end of day one for me! I've had a little water because i've been working out, cardio for 1/2 hour. I'm also going to the gym later to hit the weights and sauna. I might add in e3live and wheatgrass later.

How is everyone doing? Who else decided to fast today? dreamrawalwz?

What are the additional benefits of dry fasting? I never drink enough water on a water fast, I notice. I tend to naturally dry fast.... animals do that, but not sure it's wisest long term.
