hey everyone!
just wondering if anyone has experienced your teeth getting stronger, cavities healing, chipped teeth heeling, or tooth enamel regenerating by eating or juicing greens? is this possible? if so which greens did you consume? did you eat them or juice them? thanks!

i am almost 4 months in, and lately i have noticed a sensitivity in my chipped teeth, and just an overall sensitivity. maybe this is the detox of my teeth. i know that i got sick before i felt better when i detoxed, and sometimes my headaches would get worse before better. i have heard of teeth regenerating (growth of new teeth) so i dont see why this wouldnt be possible

My friends have commented that my teeth are whiter eating Raw, to my surpirze. Must have been the powerhouse greens. I wonder what the whitening process implies.

I grew back a chipped tooth while eating raw for 6 months strait. I am re-growing a broken tooth and my other tooth has a filling that is falling out and I can already feel & see it growing back in.

I've had regrowth of a chip, but not a cavity. Sergei lost his fillings and his teeth grew back, but he was a boy at the time.
The foods I consider important for teeth are greens in general (magnesium), crucifers (calcium), seaweed (lots of minerals), and marañón (inhibits bacteria in the mouth).

I agree that greens are important. I was eating lots of greens when my tooth grew back.

I have been chipping and breaking teeth since I was in my teens and never took a special interest in as to why they kept "regenerating" as it were. I, like so many others, figured that once a tooth was chipped or broken that it remained that way.
The reason I even found this thread was because I recently broke a tooth on a piece of Halloween candy and my wife told me I'd have to go to the dentist to get it filled... but I told her my teeth oddly, repair themselves.
It's just nice to see that I'm not the only one.

I have been really wondering if teeth can regenerate.. a couple months ago I noticed I was getting a cavity.. and have tried my darn'dest to keep it clean. this week I have finally made the big step of going 100 Raw.. and My tooth started bugging me a bit.(it didn't bug at all before) and I was wondering if I should just wait and see if my tooth will fix itself or if I should go to the dentist.
Can anyone tell me what they were eating or what they were not eating when there tooth regenerated?
I am Juicing alot of Romaine lettuce/Green Apples/Carrots
and eating alot of romaine lettuce, Kale and chard.. and Cabbage. the past week I kinda stopped eating as much kale and chard as I was juicing alot of lettuce.. but I'll try my best to start eating more of them soon.

Tooth issues seem to be a common concern in the raw world.Theres alot that happens. Some good some not so good. Teeth can remineralize if they are clean and if they are in alkaline base saliva bath. So green is great for them. However, teeth that have residue form toothpaste cannot reminerlize because they are coated. It would take twenty or more rinses to get the teeth rinsed of toothpaste. So I use tooth soap(all natural).I dont purchase the soap online,I use bar soap.It is a nice flavor and only a little soapy tasting.I enjoy it,gets my mouth clean and sanitized and cleans the surface. My receding gums have also readhered to my teeth in their proper place.
So lots to care for with teeth.I am about to get my amalgams replaced with white so thats a big job.Proper removal and all of mercury of course. It will be good for my body.

Many people have reported enamel growth after Oil Pulling. Might want to look into this. :D

i've read on a few sites chlorella is great for teeth. and i read a testomony that it heals cavaties.
anything with calcium and vitamin C is great for bones and teeth. i'm basicaly a novice with this subject... if i discover something else i'll share.
i have problems with my teeth and actualy a moller tooth broke last week and it has a filling in it. i had a really bad dentist some years ago... this is the 2nd or 3rd time it chipped from his work. luckily i already ordered chlorella and just got it in the mail today. mercury posion... i must have it to some degree. and it's claimed chlorella cures it i guess. plus has many other nutriants in it. bonus all around.
one thng i do know... full spectrum lighting is very important!!!!! we need all 7 colors of the spectrum! floresants only have 2 colors. it's terriable for our health. and some are more sensitive than others to it... some people get terriable headaches ect. it bothers me after awhile. there's a long list of bad effects from those lights.
a study was done on children with those lights and spectrum lighting. i forget the percentage, my teaching manual is in storage... but the study proved that children in classes wth full spectrum lighting over a course of a year.. only a couple needed fillings. vs the flouesant lighting classroom... 50-90% got cavities!!
also try to avoid dark rooms all the time besides sleep. dark rooms are prone to worsen teeth.
this is all that's on the top of my head... i know i know more info..just escapes me at the moment.
I agree that greens are important. I was eating lots of greens when my tooth grew back.
how old are you? I am asking because I am nearly 45, and I hope to improve even my teeth (or at least not to worsen them) by raw food...:)

It would take twenty or more rinses to get the teeth rinsed of toothpaste.
I keep hearing this referenced as 20 RINSES. I always brush my teeth a second time with just water. Would that eliminate the residue from regular toothpaste? I was buying Toms of Maine, then I found out it had the same thing that coats teeth as crest or aim or anything else. I hate brushing with bar soap. Bleh.

What about eroded enamel? My teeth are all yellow, I presume because the enamel is mostly gone. Can greens restore the enamel? Can anything?

I haven't had any regrowth...but the last time I went to the dentist, he replaced a mercury filling with a white filling. When he was drilling, he said "You have the strongest teeth, I need to get a stronger drill bit!" I also get very little plaque since I've been eating RAW (3 yr 3 months) BTW...I'm 53.
RAW definitely rules!!

I've been using 3 drops of Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap (liquid) to brush my teeth with, It tastes good and there is no soapy taste or additives.

I have started oil pulling and using tooth soap and noticing a definite difference in my teeth - not sure if the gums are better, but people keep asking me have I had braces or teeth whitened.. never had braces... ate lots of greens and traditional african food as a child... We did sip water A LOT with out foods though because our foods were soooo spicy - I remember we kept a few of those 20 oz tumblers filled with extra water for the african stews!
I now have a 20 month old and I dont want him to have ANY dental problems! I am using tooth soap on his teeth as well, adding Vit D drops to his food (we live in WI) and getting regular sunlight daily as we go out to play.. Oh and he LOVES green smoothies -- planning to get some glass straws (just ordered) to help this not be a problem..
I hope to do an update on how well this works in Feb when I have my first cleaning for the new year.. I currently have several pockets 4-6, including a 8-9 mm that they cant seem to figure out the reason for this... It has been more than 1 year since I have used fluoride toothpaste but just starting to use oil pulling this week...
I have used a number of toothpastes offered online to resolve the pockets, but have not found anything that works. The tooth soap is the CHEAPEST of them all and I am seeing a difference in less than a week. My gums just feel less inflamed in general..
Looking forward to reading any other recommendations.

I think this is an amazing thread. I have no idea about my enamel but I suspect it may not be in the greatest of condition and wanted to do things to restore it. I also have the tartar/calculus build up that is hard to get off, that they say only a dentist can remove with the special tools in the process called scaling. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a possible way to get this off at home safely? I have used my nails to pick some off, that works somewhat safe, unlike trying with a piece of steel. Hope someone can help. (Going to start a new thread elsewhere about this hoping for help.) :heart
I noticed after eating lots of greens WITHOUT OIL my teeth became noticably whiter!
So did I. I spent a week eating (or) drinking lots of home-grown wheatgrass, sprouted sunflower greens, buckwheat lettuce, pea sprouts, etc. - a true Dr Ann Wigmore programme - and my teeth were brighter at the end of the week. Still stained grey-ish from childhood antibiotics but they looked SO much better.
All those greens were eaten without oil.

I'm interested in trying tooth soap. What is the best brand(s)?
Greens are an important part of the formula for healing teeth (magnesium, calcium, phosphorous, silicon etc.), but they're only one part.
Another part is good digestive health/function (e.g. good acid levels in stomach, good bile levels, good pancreatic function, non-inflamed bowel and duodenum tissues important for effective absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and minerals, minimal parasitic 'theft' of nutrients, etc.)
Another part is avoiding consumption of lots of sugar or fructose. These disrupt levels of phosphorous in the blood, which has a knock-on effect on skeletal and dental health. (Listen-up, fruitarians!) ;)
Dental hygiene has it's place but more by virtue of keeping the gums healthy and thus minimising periodontal issues, rather than helping the visible portions of the teeth, above the gumline, to any overriding extent.
Veganism isn't all-encompassing in it's nutrient spectrum, so it isn't only about the greens when one is looking to improve dental health.
Don't shoot me for saying this, I'm only stating a self-evident fact, there's no judgment or agenda behind it. Nature is what it is what it is.
.
well greens have a lot of vitamin K and that's good for bone and dental health I think. Sure vitamin k2 might be absent in plant foods (except for natto) but with the amount of vitamin k in greens I'm sure you can get enough k2 converted in the body for all needs. Too much fruit can surely deteriorate bones and affect teeth.

I bought dental tools at my local CVS and take my own plaque off. I still go to the dentist every six months cause they can get places that I miss. I am going to make sure that they DO NOT use flouride on my teeth this visit though. I have been using tooth soap and MSP for about two weeks now so I don't have a progress report yet. My teeth have been terribly eroded by too many years of soda, beer, and lousy nutrition. It will take awhile to reverse the damage if it does at all.:juicy:

How can i clean tooth which are sensitive and slightly craced? Is tooth cleaning necessary? I also read on ramiel nagels cure tooth decay. And it helped me a lot. I didint stayed stricted to the protocol. I tried to go vegan a lot and cut down meats and animal product. nowdays i still try to avoid animal product and eat them occasioanl. more meat products.
im not sure hat to do. i know meat can be dead and alive. there is a light testing terst which allows to show if meat is alive or dead and some meat is living dead meat and other meat is tripple dead meat. absolute dead meat.
i also would invest in ormus and superfood if i get a easy way to get them. or can pay them,.
o love you all. and its wonderfull to have your visions and experiences. and love here in this world ...
is bananna eating ok or is the modern banana to sweet. i heard bannana have to be less sweet to be healthy.. what is your opinion on live. i think we are all wonderful and have to enjoy live.. and play and be naiv. and childish in a good nopurishing and caring way. its wonderful that there is people in the world who never will use the internet so they only can be found in the real world. that one of all miracles why and why not.. take care and whisper me some wisedoms and miracles...now

hmmm, I have a solid gold crown on one of my molars. since I eat 100% raw, should I expect to have my tooth grown and squeeze against the crown? I didn't get a root canal done so the tooth is living. Anyone else with tooth crown/cap stories?

I heard that msm is good for remineralizing teeth. It seems like since I quit taking it my teeth have gotten worse. Coincidence?
