I had my first banana ice cream last night, and I think this could change my life!
A few years ago, I was eating ice cream every night (fat free, but a good sized bowl). Then I went dairy-free and tried soy ice creams and other substitutes. I discovered that Rice Dream was fine except that, an hour later, I'd be tired as if from a drug-induced sleep. So I'd keep it on hand for those times I had to have it, but I rarely did because, every time I'd think about, I'd ask myself, "Can I afford to sleep all evening?" and usually I had too many things I needed to do, so I just wouldn't have it.
Last night I was experimenting, so I had quite a bit of the banana ice cream--four bananas, two different flavors. It was tasty, about as good as the fat free stuff I was having before, probably better than the Rice Dream, and I felt fine after eating it. No tiredness.
This means I can let ice cream back in my life with no regrets!! Yippee!
