I know people have posted threads with pics of their raw kitchens before. I found them very inspiring, and thought I'd share pics of my little apartment kitchen.

I'd love to see yours, too! :)

Thanks, lavendar. My kitchen is really small, so I had to improvise. :)

RawGoddess, that purple kale makes me smile!!! Gorgeous!!

Rawvee!
You're from NoVa, DC, or Maryland!
I can tell because I saw a MOM's product on your counter. I work right next to the Alexandria MOM's.
Got any tips on restaurants around here that'll cater to the raw foodist? Great Sage used to have raw meals that were fantastic, but they phased them out...

Denise,

Good eye!! And great hair! :)

I'm from MD. And I LOVE MOM's. What are you doin' Saturday? There's a raw potluck in MD--check the events forum. As for restaurants, they're few and far between, I think. There's a few around Baltimore. We'll have to take a look for stuff in DC or VA, 'cause I'd make the drive.

I live right down the road from Great Sage. I'm kinda bummed that they got rid of a lot of raw.

Where's the potluck being held?

Here are my kitchen pictures.

#1- In my cabinet, glass jars for seeds, nuts, grains, and dried fruit

#2- Really cool big veggie candles on top of stove and next to dehydrator (to the right)

#3- Food Processor/Blender, bowl of fruit, Champion juicer, and bamboo cutting board

#4- on the long counter is wheatgrass grower (which we haven't done in a few months!) and some pomegrant candles- I have a veggie themed kitchen. :D

Lalakis,

I work in Baltimore and live in Ellicott City!! The potluck is in Mt. Airy. If you want to contact me about info, shoot me an email. :)

I'm diggin' the stove! :D I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with a small kitchen. I have to say there is a lot more room with raw than there was with SAD. I use my oven for storage and I hardly ever use my dishwasher anymore. I have a flat top stove so I don't have a cool cutting board like you do but I love the idea. Maybe one day I'll make myself one!! Great pictures thanks for posting!

RawVee - Where'd you get that cutting board? It's a perfect fit!

145ish, you could still do a cutting board on a flat-top stove, right?

Shine, I got the cutting board, believe it or not, at IKEA. It was about $10. The stove is one of those tiny little apartment stoves and wasn't worth a darn when I used it. It's way better as extra countertop space. :)

Wow! How lucky to live so close to Roots Market though!... They have fantastic raw stuff, yummy Greek flax crackers, those chocolate covered brazil nuts and mulberries, cacao nibs, and GOOD veggies. I love that store, except for the high prices.
Where in MD is the potluck? I have another party to go to on Saturday but I could probably make it to both...
You should write an email to Great Sage. I did, and they wrote a positive response that they would try to bring it back. The more encouragement, the better.
By the way, its a wig.

I tried to visit the Yabba Pot a while ago and they looked closed down... I thought maybe they were finito. What raw dishes do they have?
(I'm in Alexandria.)

SPP,

I love Roots. I wish they'd go co-op!

The potluck is 3-9 in Mt. Airey at Natural Zing farm (check the events forum in here and you'll find the info.)

It's still a cool wig. :)

Did you go to their location in Pigtown? They moved back to St. Paul street. Skai keeps hosting raw challenges every month and they have a bunch of raw sides like kale, mushroom salads, etc. Also, Liquid Earth on Aliceanna is AWESOME and the owner is going back to 100% raw and has 2 raw meals a day, I believe, offered in his restaurant.
