My Alfredo Sauce changed color

Okay, last night my alfredo sauce was a light grey. Today, its a dark browny-grey. Is this normal?

oxidation is my guess. Like guacamole, etc.

I made that this past weekend and mine did not turn color. Did you have it mixed in with the squash already? Mine was seperate and it was exactly the same 2 days later.
