View Full Version : Should I eat? What?

I am not sure what to do right now. Yesterday I was ill or detoxing, not sure which. I woke up late yesterday morning with some slight stomach nausea. I decided to wait a bit to eat, but a bit later decided to go ahead in case my stomach was hrting from being hungry. I had a green smoothie, and it only seemed to make it a bit worse for a while. By the afternoon the nausea was gone but I had a fever that lasted well into the night. I broke the fever overnight and woke up feeling a lot better, but still not quite 100%. I guess I am 99% because I feel fine, but definitely not 100%.

I was not hungry this morning so I did not eat right away. Since I was still feeling fine (though not 100%) I eventually made myself a fruit smoothie since I had not eaten in almost 24 hours. It went down fine but I did not feel any better afterwards. At lunch I made myself a green smoothie since I was still feeling fine (though still not 100%). When looking through my greens, none of them sounded good. I settled on kale and collard greens as they seemed more palatable than the other choices. I finished about 3/4 of the green smoothie and did not want the rest. It went down fine, but I'm not sure my body ever wanted anything to begin with.

So here I am eating today when my body may not want to. My body is not making me regret eating, but nothing is sounding good and I just don't feel hungry for anything at my normal eating times.

I did not eat anything all day yesterday except a green smoothie so I would think my body wants to eat today, but it doesn't. Should I eat? What should I eat when nothing sounds good?

The most frustrating part is that both times I went to make food today, I kept thinking about cooked foods since none of my raw food sounds good. I'm not sure what that is all about, but it sucks.

Any advice?

I'd say the body knows best, so if you don't want to eat, don't.
Maybe drink some juices for energy.

If this goes on for more than a week or so, then I'd worry, but I think the body might occasionally know when to fast, and one should obey it :)

If you feel like you should have something try just having some mild clear juices instead of a smoothie. Maybe dilute some OJ with water and sip on that or lemon in your water. If your not hungry I wouldn't worry about it too much your body will tell you when to eat. Obviously if it continues and you begin to feel weak I'd be concered but most people can go a lot longer than they think without solid food. Hang in there an I hope you feel better soon.
