Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has dealt with, or knows about, tendonitus and the effects of being raw. So many people talk about pain lessening, and I was thinking that maybe tendonitus would fall into the catagory of ailments that could be helped by going raw. If anyone does have an experience, what foods helped?
Thanks for any ideas, suggestions!

OH YES! Tendonitis is a inflammatory issue. I had it from the should (affected my neck) down to my arm.

I did a combination of raw and fasting. MSM topical and Rich's powder form became my best friends ! :) I also made sure I rested and kept my liver happy!!!!!

Takes time but IT IS SO WORTH IT!

Very cool! What is MSM topical and Rich's powder form? And where did you get it? My husband is dealing with tendonitus in his shoulder as well and is really trying to avoid the Dr.s reccomendation of cortizone shots and steroids. He is in the Army, so having to do the required push-ups is very difficult and I think making it worse. He actually failed a physical, he couldn't do the push-ups. Mind you, this is a man who runs 8 miles every other day and is otherwise very fit. Did you do any exercisis/stretches that helped or was it just time and the supplements you mentioned? How long did it take you to recover?
Thank you so much!

The intereseting thing about injuries/illnesses, is that although it appears to be an isolated incident, we can trace back to see why an injury manifested or what underlying weakness there is to it all.

Myself, I had a neck and back injury but it wasn't DIRECT injury to my shoulder, that developed as my neck and back injuries progressed/worsened. Keep in mind also that I was a long distance runner also and had abused my body for many years in the past so my ability to heal from those injuries in October of 2004 didn't happen like I thought it would. I developed other health issues along the way.......

The brand is Rich's MSM powder. You take it orally but MSM can also be used topically (externally). In fact, if you use the MSM in a carrier oil like Jojopa or grapeseed, it will work nicely.

The other aspect of inflammation is, the digestive health of your husband that effects healing. LIVER will be the main organ to rejuvenate. If the blood is not ample,it cannot fully nourish tendon function. What you put in=nutrients & what you take out = toxins and waste

As far as exercising goes, I walked, and did stretches. It was frustrating b/c I didn't know how to use a "injured" shoulder b/c I was always active. With physical injuries, there is a temptation to compensate so I would make sure he is keeping his body structure in check with a therapist or the like. It hurt alot and felt like it wasn't going to heal........

I did alot of visualizing, meditating, eating raw, fasting and massage. You have to treat yourself as a whole person to heal----

I hope nothing but healing to you and your husband!

Thank you so much, MissLinda! This is great info. Thinking about what you said, I asked him if there was an "originating incident" and he said yes, a long time ago he was hurt badly in a football game and felt his shoulder was a part, a manifestation, of that. We both said "Ahhh Haa!" Looking at his body, I can actually see the overcompensation in muscle development in his upper and lower back. So, I told him about the powder, visualisation and incorporating more raw, cleansing foods (for the liver). He was jazzed! He's about 80% raw now and said "Make me all raw, for Pete's sake!" It also started a great conversation about holding "in" stuff that later manifests itself in the body. With the Military it will be a challenge, like today and all this week he is doing "combatives", fighting hand to hand with other guys. After this morning's "battle" he said it really hurt. So, that is something we will need to deal with and pay extra attention to the things we can control.
Looks like a trip to the HF store!
Thanks again for your suggestions, I will keep you posted on the progress.

WOW ,this really is great to hear Liserpiece!!!

If there is anything else I can add, resting is crucial. If you are interested in herbal supplementation, TEASEL is great for tendons and broken bones.

Most respect and appreciation you and your family for serving our country. :)
