They say we need to get the calcium the same way the cow got it... through sprouts and other high calcium plant sources. Seems to me, if you add calcium soil ammendment to your sprouts, they should have a much higher calcium content. I found such a product manufacturer's product line (Down to Earth) at the farmer's supply store in Mt. Vernon and Burlington WA, but they didn't stock the actual prouct (Liquid Calcium). They say they would have to stock what they consider to be a large quantity of the product in order to get it on special order.
Has anyone tried something like this before? Was it successful? I would very much like to try it, but I don't want to buy 2 1/2 gallons of the product. I think it would be great if anyone wanting to try this in the Skagit Valley area would converge on the farmer's supply stores and ask them to special order it.
I made my own large automatic sprouter a couple years ago and it's still working beautifully. I'd just like to up the ante on my sprouting health returns.
