I spotted some spouted bread (bunes) and i purchased them and i ate some, i thought i was over the "bread thing".
Is there anything that i can do to overcome this craving? It just came on so quick, before i realized it i had walked out of the store with the bag, i'm
not trying to make excuses but i'm upset with myself:mad:
I know i can make crackers but they take so long to do, i wish there was some way i could overcome this like i overcame the rice attack.

awww, don't beat yourself up. you had some sprouted bread, big whoop! that's my opinion.

you are doing GREAT! there are no raw food police. if a bit of bread every once and a while helps keep you happy & on track, then so be it.

now, if you really want to maintain 100% raw, i'd say you have to make your own or purchase some really raw treats.

as to how to overcome the craving, who knows? sometimes, just saying NO to yourself may work. othet times, a close substitute will do the trick. & sometimes we indulge. no one is 100% perfect all of the time. that is not long-term attainable goal.

hang in there. keep going. you are doing GREAT!

Kiropa said it best. I think you'll find that the deeper you delve into being raw, the less you'll crave bread. Maybe your body is wanting more grains. Try sprouting some buckwheat and making a great salad. And take a Sunday to make a ton of crackers, breads, chips, etc. in the dehydrator so you can have them in case of a snack attack. Just don't beat yourself up. One day you'll "slip," eat some bread, and feel so gross afterwards that you'll know--you're over it!

i really think theres a difference between "SAD" and cooked food. i think you should feel good that it was some sprouted grain bread and not a white bagel or something like that.

I know what you mean. Bread and pizza were my all time favorites! It is funny though the longer you are raw how I don't crave those the most anymore. It seems like now I think (or crave) of something raw first. It is strange. But from time to time I occasionally have a little sprouted manna bread. I have some loaves in my freezer that I must have purchased 6+ months ago and still haven't had the desire for them. But if I do, they are there and I will eat them. I try to eat a high raw diet but accept that I may never be 100%. I don't know however, if I will buy anymore. I agree with RAnde you could have eaten a lot worse! ALso I understand the time constraint thing. It is hard for me to find all the time to soak, sprout, and dehydrate for several days. So I understand your dilemma. I figure it this way I am eating 99% healthier than I used to so I am fine with the OCCASIONAL choice not to be raw. I just wouldn't make it an everyday habbit as eating cooked food can take you back down a road away from raw.

It seems like there is not enough time in the day sometimes.
I needed your thoughts and support.
I love you all:)
I will make an effort to make some extra bread and keep it in the fridge when i get the time.
I did purchase some enzymes to help my digestion:)

Totally! Early on I had some sprouted quinoa that was soaked and steamed. I had so much energy so apparently my body needed it. I just need to find a way to prepare it with less heat.

There are worse things you could have eaten. I’m not a huge grain eater but every now and then, I feel better having had something sprouted and dehydrated.
