Well right now I am really going through a big life detox. I mean friends, lovers, I am getting rid of anything that was not good for me. In the midst of this I've come to realise now is probibly the perfect time to also detox out my bad eating habits and addictions. Start my new life... well not new life so much as next phase. This is the point in the movie I'm at right now where the positive music starts playing and the person picks themselves off the floor and becomes even better than they ever thought they could be.

So I know there are so many wise wonderful raw foodists here and so many wise wonderful people who are transitioning or well doing whatever they need to do to add more raw foods into thier life. So I am hoping for some great starter advice. You know little tricks and tips that helped you through your first little while, any advice on letting go of addictions physically emotionally, or whatever. Or even just a good luck.

Thanks so much! I am going to do great this time, 4th time is a charm.

Hey Mandy! You've taken the first step - realizing things/people/lifestyle that is (are) bogging you down. YAY YOU!
Next, make sure you feed your body well. Your mind will automatically be at peace and lower the stress level
Don't think of all you have to do, rather, do small things and before you know it, you are on your way to health both mentally and physically.
Keep busy. Go for walks with you. Learn to like yourself. Don't second guess about what you are doing. Treat yourself to some pampering.
Good luck with this.
You'll be fine!
Oh! And green smoothies. They will be your best friends right now!

:D Congrats on your decision :D

Put your BIGGEST BOWL smack dab in the middle of your kitchen / dining room table and stack it FULL with a variety fresh fruit. (bananas, mangoes, melon, apples, oranges, grapes... be creative) and treat yourself whenever you like!
Raw food should be FUN! And MESSY :p

Also: Spring is the perfect time to start on a new fitness regime. Line up a girlfriend and set a date for that kickbox/yoga/spinning class you've been dying to try. Better yet, head for the great outdoors! Hike, bike, canoe, whatever... Sunshine and fresh air does a body good.

All the best!

Mandy - Besides staying raw, I would say to start listening to and trusting that inner voice that so many of us stopped listening to when we started listening to everyone else instead!

And best of luck to you! Or better yet, make your own luck!:D

The best tip I can give you is, always have food available to eat.

Also, it's ok to eat 10 bananas at a time ;)
