Just after minute 4.5 of this great Video, shazzies uses a kind of extra
mixing tool on the Vitamix. Does this come automatically with the Vitamix
or has it to be ordered explicit?

thanks, LL

I wonder if it's some kind of add-on tamper you can get? It looks to be attached to the lid. That video is great--looks like a dessert with a lot of exotic ingredients!

She really goes for it, never seen so many exotic stuff, wish she was my neighbour!

It looks like the standard tamper to me (which usually comes with all Vitamix machines).

BTW, I just added up the cost of all the ingredients in that recipe, and it came close to $100! LOL!

It is a tamper. When I got my Vitamix, I got the wet AND dry containers, so it came with that and some books also. It's NOT attached to the lid though. You take the little piece off of the lid and then insert the tamper. It's really good for when you have something thick like that. The tamper stops JUST BEFORE the blades, so you really do get things mixed up good and you don't risk having a spatula destroyed and becoming part of your yummy concoction! HTH!:D

Yeah, I was thinking that was definitely NOT a lower-end cost recipe!

I got that attachment with mine but within a couple of weeks it had split so I can not use it because food gets trapped and I worry about what may be lurking up there.

I know from having bought mesquite, lucuma and maca from Shazzie's online shop and Raw Living that those three items alone are expensive. Yummy but not cheap. Genuine raw agave nectar in the UK is expensive as is coconut butter/oil - and goji berries.

I agree that this recipe is probably the most expensive I have seen. However, as Shazzie imports goods for her business, maybe cost price isn't as high as retail so she can benefit that way.

Now you are naming it: the coconut oil/butter in the clip seems to be golden/light dark coloured, anyone knows how this is to be explained?

That is no excuse for showing it to the rest of us. Do you think that maybe she is teasing us with what we can not have.
