What kind of blender was he using... I know that my humble blender wouldn't be able to get the pine nut mixture that smooth...that's why I haven't made the cheesecake recipe (posted on here a while back)

Lavendarj, my blender isn't fantastic either - but I grind up nuts and seeds sometimes in the coffee grinder first and then add them to the other stuff in the blender. Works like a charm!

How long did it take for this to load up for you guys? It's not loading up for some reason!:confused:

He didn't put any kind of sweetener into the pie filling did he?

I know he put agave into the pie crust but I don't remember if you put any in the filling. I will have to look it up in my book.

I do not mix seeds and nuts in the same meal but I will use his base for other pies.
It looks like it is the nicest base that I have come across and I am always looking for ways to get more sunflowers in to me.

ARE Pinenuts really nuts or are they seeds ? Or do you mean mixing of Any nuts and seeds ?

Why don't you mix nuts and seeds? In food combining - I thought that was ok

Of course you are right. Pine nuts are not nuts.I allowed my train of thought to progress and posted it.
I can not get certified raw pine nuts so I told myself that I would sub cashews.
Then I realised that I should not mix nuts and seeds and spoke out loud while wondering what topping I would sub.
I decided on a layer of fresh strawberries (because they go well with chocolate) and I will add some chocolate powder to the blueberry and banana topping that Anna has in her magazine. It is runny to start with and it will fill in the spaces between the strawberries before it sets.
