I've finally toughened up and threw myself into a juice fast after lots of research. I unofficially started yesterday and didn't do it completely, just most of the day..and started officially today. Want to go for 21 days. I felt pretty good for the most part today except that I was a little tired...a few small waves of hunger but that was it really. My skin feels all oily already, I normally have very clear skin. I even made my husband one of my old favorite cooked meals without even taking a taste!!! Whoohoo! But that was really hard! In fact, that's why I'm in seperate room browsing the site right now! :)
I was going to do a 21 day water fast and realized it was too harsh for me. I read that you get the same benefits from a 10 day water fast that you do for a 30 day juice fast though. So I decided to drink water as much as I can stand it and when it gets to be too much I'll drink diluted juice. For example, 32oz juice/32oz water throughout the day sort of thing. Any helpful advice from you guys???

There is a Fasting Section at the opening of this Forum. I have found, that you need rest when you began a Fast, then after 3 days, you can cut Lumber in the forest.....without a Saw.......

There is nothing wrong with interchanging water to fasting on diluuted juices. best to only consume when the body wants it.....not beneficial to overdo the liquids.
Take advantage of saunas as they stimulate excretion fs tox of toxins where as the kidneys etc will be constantly eliminating the ws toxins.
Like Spicyfull mentioned, rest is crucial for healing~keeping the body limber and stimualting blood flow thru brisk walking, skin brushing, stretching, yoga and meditation is ideal.
Be well and healed~

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice! I told myself I would be stretching every morning and still going on at least a 1/2 an hour walk every day. I've been feeling very calm and peaceful already too. Perfect time to start back with meditation!

I have been fasting for 1 week and its insane! For some reason I have incrediable energy out of no where and Im running on empty. I went nuts and increased my exercise level and I have been sleeping less than 5 hours a night.. Not by choice.. Im just so full of energy.. Im sure my body is ready to crash. Ive been drinking water tea and some smoothies but not much and I am wondering where this explosive energy Ive had all week comes from because I dont have it when I eat food lol.... someone bottle it up!

These explosive energies during fasting are ususally energy blockage opening up when toxins are being released and moving. Organs also become stimulated as well. Always best to keep activites low during fasting mode.
FYI:
once you drink smoothies, you are no longer in fasting mode as you would be in juice fasting, water or dry
