spiced nuts

I keep trying to make flavored nuts in the dehydrator but they end up not really carrying the flavor. How do you get the flavor to stick on the nut? Do I need to douse them in oil or something? I've coated them somewhat.

Yeah, a good idea is to toss them in a little oil and then season them.

You can also try soaking it, then flavoring it. When it's wet, condiments will stick better.

you can soak them in 1/2 raw soy sauce or Braggs with a little water & add your spices to the water and add some honey if you want them sweet & spicey, then after soaking 8 hours dehydrate them until crunchy. I made some and they were delicious.

Has anyone made dried, spiced nuts? Anyone have a few recipes for this? I'm thinking this will be a good thing to do.
