Just wanted to introduce myself. I just ordered the book and I'm excited about RAW. I'm a vegetarian and at risk for diabetes because of a raging sugar addiction. I am tired of dieting and crazy plans that get you no where. For me, I understand from reading and research that I just have been on a low path to death and disease in my eating. I don't want to have to make drastic crazy changes in the future due to bad health. I want to change now, at 28 years old.

I'm excited. its day one. :D

Hi! I see that you posted this a while ago... just thought I would say hello & tell you that I can relate! I've had a sugar addiction for a long time. I had it under control for a fewyears, then had a baby & I just lost it during the pregnancy. I'm 30, and decided to be pro-active & have an endoscopy done to ceck out my throat & stomach... from years of yo-yo diets, binge eating, and a family history of stomach cancer. Turns out I've got pretty bad gastritis & sure enough- I wason my way to stomach cancer down the line as well. After a year of reading about raw diets, and playing aroudn with it a little, I've finally taken the dive! I'm on day 5 now (unless I've somehwo lost track of my days! It happens!), and I feel good. It's nice to look at my 2 year old & know that I'm taking care of myself.. that I'll be here for him (hopefully!) for a very long time!
