I've been on a 80% raw food diet for 6months now and feel great!
I was chronicly fatigued from a life of eating disorders and red meat!
I now am able to excersize 3-4 days a week. for the first time in my life I feel healthy!
I still unfortunately have alot of acne and my boob size fluctuate greatly! I also have irregular periods.
This WAS my diet: fruit, candy bars, lettuce & red meat.
This is my new diet which I feel great on: protein bars, lots of raw fruits, tons of raw vegetables, and 1-2 cups of coffee per day.
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO FIX MY HORMONE IMBALACE?

go 100% raw and cut out the coffee completely
cuttting out the coffee will make a HUGE difference, try having cacao in your shakes as you wean yourself off the caffiene
good luck!

You could try Maca powder for balancing your hormones. This is what Allisa has to say about it: http://www.alissacohen.com/shop/product.php?productid=45&cat=5&page=1
And definitely cut out the coffee.
Along with eating raw a thought could be to look at taking Vitex (chaste tree berry) and red raspberry long term.

Would you mind typing out the ingredients of your protein bars? That info might be useful before making a recommendation.

Try colon cleansing and/or mini-fasts. In addition, check for food allergies. You say that you are 80% raw; what does the 20% of cooked foods consist of?

All good advice here, but you can take it even further. Anything that increases inflammation in the body throws one's hormonal balance off track, so yes, the coffee, and any overly acid-producing foods have to go. Alkalinizing the body is the key to reducing inflammation. Here's another big one, traditional Chinese medicine can be very helpful for hormone imbalance at various stages of a woman's life. Granted, a very traditional acupuncturist will likely disapprove of the raw food diet, but if you can brush that aside, there are indeed herbal formulas and certain foods that are VERY helpful. SOME acupuncturists who are more eclectic in their approach, namely younger ones, will work with you in adapting Chinese diet therapy to raw food, and often even approve of your being raw as so many times in their practice they are seeing people who are eating the worst diets possible! In the most acute situations, that is to say, if one's problem is really bad(like really intractible cold and flu for instance)and pressing, the boil-up herbs in the paper bags they give you with preparations instructions are by far the strongest, and usually you only have to do one or two courses at most. For a lower-level, more chronic situation, there are herbal formulas that are taken like nutritional supplements and work over the period of a few months. But it is quite likely you will start feeling better even sooner than that. Reason I know is because I have had extensive experience(all positive without exception)with Chinese herbs for various conditions. They also work on more levels than just the physical too, as they are multi-layered formulas. Anti-inflammatory, balancing formulas often calm the spirit, for example which is always good. In case you're wondering, no, I don't work for an acupuncturist or sell herbal formulas - LOL!

yeah maca works.
Definitely try Vitex/chasteberry. This stuff works. If you are doubtful, go research it and look at the reviews, they will blow you away. I have yet to see a bad review for it, if you find one let me know! Women cure their acne and hormone problems with this stuff. It takes about 3 months to really do it's job. Definitely try it!!
(Just noticed that the OP started this thread years ago.)

Congratulations for taking charge of your life and your health!
I would focus on myself and just give myself permission to be happy and trust my body is working for me.
The emotions play a major roll with our endocrine system. The pituitary one, seem to affect all of them. Your body is a biological being that respond to chimistry. If you get worry, the pituitary will send a specific hormone that will get your body ready in case of danger. This is normally very hard on ourself, it is important that you learn to relaxe and just allow only balance.
Emotionally, skin problem represent not be comfortable in our own skin, such not feeling perfect, not feeling worthy, fear of being judge etc.....
Endocrine is very complexe but if we learn to listen to our body, we will know which food we need etc.... I know that Greens are miraculous, wheat grass if you can take this is also wonderful.
Many time, if our guts aren't cleanse or our body doesn't manage to eliminate the toxin, it will eliminate it from our skin, sweat, runny nose, etc.... Doing exercise is fantastic.
I feel that you are on the right track and you shouldn't worry about what isn't perfect just yet, but instead allow yourself to be happy and grateful that your body is healing.
I am not a doctor, and you should always do your research to find more informations. Everyone is different and what works for some, may not work for us.
I wish you the best!

You might consider having a consultation with Alissa. You may also consider going 100% raw.....in Alissa's book she talks about how there is a night and day difference between 100% and even 98% raw. Her book is so good.
