fasting one day a week

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone out there juice fast one day a week on a regular basis? I have just started doing this in may and my goal is to continue through June. This is only my third week and was wondering if anyone has any comments or experiences they would like to share. One weird thing I have noticed after last week was I was incredibly hungery all week and nothing would satisfy me. Also, my BMs are not as nice as they used to be prefasting. Anyway just thought I would get some input. This week I have included phsyllum seed husk to help with the bms and upping my water intake.

Sure I think it would be great to juice fast even if only one day! But you'll figure out that the long you juice fast the longer you'll want to stick with it. And you will definately start having more BM's when you juice fast bc everything flushes out! It sounds like you're on the right track so stick with it and good luck!

-Yes. I did this for quite a long time. The whole purpose of fasting of any kind is to free the body from internal deposits of poor materials. The healthiest practices (like fasting) will facilitate this. When these materials break up....they dump back through the blood, sweat, urine, etc., for elimination. This might cause all manner of discomfort and detox. Regulate your own detox, but accept ANY symptomology.......welcome it....and do not try to delay it or stop it......only continue with an even greater lifetime....full-bodied..... commitment to healthy practices that give rise to health. All symptomology (when accepted and appreciated) will give way to health. Just my opinions.

I agree with babyphat1989 and DavidZaneMason, you only really truly realize the benefit of juicing the longer you stay on. I am on Day 12 of my first ever juice fasting and I am amazed at how great I feel.

Of course, any juicing and/or fasting is good for you. Do what feels right for you.

I regularly fasted one day a week for about a year. I didn't have it in me to do one long one and maybe that was my body's intuition telling me what was right for me. Although I'd be weak doing it, it hugely impacted me for the better overall. I think our organs and overall system really appreciate a break from working. I'd like to get back in the habit. I used to do it with miso broth and water but I could keep going and actually go out into public and deal with humans if I were juice-feasting.
The thing with long-term fasting is the detoxing can be overwhelming and poison our systems as toxins are released unless mechanisms are in place to move them through- clean poop chute and sweating, for example.
Anyway, I'm happy for you you're experimenting with this:)
