Okay So Silly...
I haven't mastered fruit smoothies. Green Smoothies, I have a PHD in, but Fruit smoothies. Fa'get about it!
I have tried in the past, and they were awful. Berries with nana's. Tasted sooo gross. Sour, Bitter, Sweet. Just awful. So gotta any good recipes?
I will do a search, but just in case my appetite isn't squashed for fruit smooths, I will post.
Thanks Rawsteins!

Here are my two favorites. I add about a tbsp of flax seeds, hemp seed powder, or maybe a few nuts to each for fat and protein:
Smoothie 1
1/2 to 1 cup Pineapple
1 orange, peeled
1 banana
1 mango
1 apple or pear
4 to 6 strawberries (optional)
Smoothie 2
1 cup blueberries
1 cup grapes
6 strawberries
1 banana
1 apple or pear
Or just use watermelon. That stuff is AWESOME!!!!

How come when you use 2 many berries of any kind, it tastes weird? It over powers everything!

I don't mind blueberries, but they do have a pretty powerful flavor. Strawberries I do not have a problem with the taste being overpowering, but if they are not ripe, then they can be pretty sour. The times I have problems with berries is when I use blackberries or raspberries. Those little suckers pack a wallop of "their" flavor and it seems no matter what you add you can't tame it. I don't use them anymore in my smoothies, I guess I just don't like them. I have seen many recipes from people who use them, and i jsut chalk it up to different tastes for different people.

I have been enjoying berry frosties
1 to 1 1/2 c nut milk (lately it's been macadamia mylk)
1 frozen banana
2 c frozen mixed berries (maybe more may be less, I just pour em in)
squirt of agave
2 tbsb caco nibs ground in my coffee grinder
1 tsp maca
Blend the hell outta it...its SOOO good.Plus you have little crunchy pieces (seeds and cacao nibs...I don't have a vitamix)

Sometimes it can also be the particular harvest of fruit you have at that one time. For example, one time the berries may be too sour/bitter but then you try it again and they're sweeter and tastier and the smoothie turns out better.
Maybe try simple blends like all peaches with a little nut milk and maybe a date or agave if not sweet enough; strawberries and apples blended (again, adding dates or agave if not sweet enough) or a berry blast with just all berries and apples (apples are to bulk it up and maybe make it sweeter depending). Adding pineapple is great. Speaking of which...a favorite of mine that someone had to convince me to try a long while ago was: 1 banana, 1 stick of celery, juice of half a lemon and a couple slices of fresh pineapple. When he first told me to try it, I was like "YUCK! That CAN'T taste good" but he said don't knock it 'til I tried it...so, tried it I did and I loved it! But even if you omitted the celery (not everyone likes celery in their smoothies) the other ingredients would be good too!
But I've gotten to a point now where I can barely drink a straight up fruit smoothie...they now seem "nekked" without the greens! :p

Hey Rawkin...
Thanks...
I hear ya... I have been consuming Sesame Seed Milk after my morning quick workouts. I add raw honey to sweeten, and yet I always have to add a handful of Spinach. LOL go figure. It has 2 be green, or it just doesn't feel like, Home! LOL

I know! I actually really miss the green element when my "normal" friends make me a fruit smoothie.
