Very nice! My smoothie cup is my blender. I'm sipping out of it right now. What can I say- I'm a bachelor. :D

I'm envisioning a pineapple-banana coconut smoothie with a small pineapple slice resting on the rim

This is so weird...my mom (vegan, about 85% raw) just bought my dad (100%SAD) a large Coca Cola style green glass for him to start drinking green smoothies. He's a diabetic on insulin and in the past has disregarded the doc's "suggestion" to quit eating the refined food. Well...he just had a check up and the doc let him have it after my mom filled the doc in on his food choices. Dad agreed with mom to try some green smoothies, hence the "cool" glass to put them in. She figured since the glass was green, it would sort of camo the green stuff in the glass...

How fancy!

I wish my smoothie fit in a glass. But I have to use a big ol jug. LOL

I drink my smoothies from a beautiful faceted goblet. It makes it feel like a feast...very decadent.

I say making your food a sensual experience is very satisfying.

Funny how a glass can make something taste sooooooo much more delish!

OMG-

I just had an idea. We should all have our own raw version of a "pimp cup"

(Rappers get these "blinged-out" goblets to drink booze from. They're over-the-top gaudy and ornate and usually personalized.)

How funny would that be?

Raw thugs and tree hugs....???

Guess my green smoothie has me a little highhhh!

Raw Thugs and Tree Hugs?!!!

Crack me up!

I just drink my green smoothies from a collection of pasta sauce and peanut butter jars. It usually takes two jars per smoothie, and they don't spill on my way to work (unlike in the big green cup I used last week...all over my backseat, and now my car smells like ripe bananas, but not in a good way).

To transport smoothies I got those Tupperware shaker things with the little "wheel" insert for shaking things like flour and water to mix for gravy. If the smoothie sits for awhile, it gets pretty thick on top so the shaker wheel is great. The lids on these are dome-shaped with a flip-top little spout for drinking. They are pretty good, although the lid could come off if it was handled roughly. I also found some "salad dressing shakers" in a dollar store that were essentially the same thing but much cheaper.

When I have had a warm raw soup in these though, I have had a few of the lids pop off so I now use a screw-top container for those.

But I really love the idea of a fancy glass too. Sure, the smoothie might coat the inside and it doesn't stay crystal-clear, but it is still a nice touch. I use a clear glass footed Irish coffee mug with a gold rim that has a little handle at the base of the short stem. Cute. It doesn't all fit in there at one time, but I just refill it.
