Raw Agave..anyone else react to it?

everytime i use raw agave in a recipe, or drizzle it over fruit, i react to it in almost exactly in the same way i react to dairy; my sinuses get stuffed up real tight and i sneeze a lot.

i know the rawness of agave has been questioned..and i really dont use it often at all..ill maybe go a few days using it every other month or so and then be done with it for a long while. but ive noticed this pattern and was wondering if anybody else has experienced this?

You could possibly have an allergy to it. What brand are you using? There are definitely truly raw agave nectars that aren't pasteurized or heated. What happens when you drink tequila? ;)

Yes, I have the same sinus reaction and freak out that my allergies are back.

I also get an immediate stomachache.

I am pretty sure this is raw agave I've had, too. It's from a trusted source/site.

yea im 99.9% sure it is raw..and i haaaaaaaaaaaate tequila. blech blech blech. ive had it once and that was one time too many :p hmm..is it possible to have an allergy to a cactus? :confused:

It could be a reaction to the sugar since it's concentrated.
