i thought that as long as they are sprouted they are self digesting, and therefore shouldnt make you tired. it seems like with any fats that i eat i get tired after, whether its oil or avos or nuts.... does this happen to you guys?

Yes I have discovered fats ssssllloooooowwww me down. I think fruits are much better for good energy, as long as you are not also eating fats. Also a lot of excersise throughout the day should keep your energy up up up!

Oh yes, definitely. All fats are somewhat difficult to digest compared to fruits and tender greens. I feel much more tired after eating fats.

Some digestive types will digest higher fats better than others. In terms of the raw journey, fats do slow down the healing process and perhaps your body will shun it for awhile until your body feels ready for more heavier foods like nuts.

My sister can eat a handful of nuts and feel more energized where as I, will feel more challenged digestively. I have not eaten them for approx 6 months.

I think also depending on where you are at your journey, health and activity level will effect your nut consumption.

They give me energy. I couldn't live w/o them though I never eat much (maybe 1 tbs nut butter a day and some almond milk). Bananas and grapes do me in though I know people who can eat buckets a day and feel great.

I have to do nuts and sweet fruit in moderation 'cause I can swing towards tiredness with too much of either. Greens are my favorite energizing food lately :)

I noticed when I have oil I feel sluggish. If I eat alot of nuts, I do too. But a reasonable amount, like a handful, is fine with me. Moderation is key for me. If I eat too many nuts, I feel nauseated and tired. On the other hand I can totally eat guacamole made with 1 medium avocado and feel awesome afterwards. For me, avos are easier to digest.

What makes avos even more enjoyable fruit , their packed with cellulase. Enyzme to breakdown cellulose. :)

The tannins of the skins of nuts are not digestible which I think contributes to people naseauted reaction of nuts in general. I'm sure they are a little more pleasant without the skins. Would be interesting to find out.

Oh, I get it. that's why when I was eating raw cocoa/ avocado pudding in the evening, I was fine, Just relaxing and watching t.v. and snoozed good that night. Have avocado on my salald for lunch and I need a nap.
LittleAngelBear-if you catch this, if you hardly eat fats or fruits, and just mostly greens, do you feel satisfied and not like you're going to float off? I'm really curious what you're eating out of concern I might need to gravitate towards a diet like that.
