I am so surprised that my DH supports me because he doesn't like much raw food at all..never has. But he supports me in my choices of eating raw food.
He also helps me place an order at a resruant by telling the waitress that I only eat raw food, when there is a question as to what I am trying to get across to the waitress, DH helps me with that.
However... they all eat SAD when in restruants, ect. It is hard on me, really difficult.
Have you had similiar circumstances? If so, how did you handle it?

-I support THEM in what they want to do....and they support me. In my case...it's rather that simple. When they want to go out.....I just go wherever they are eating......and just sit in. They know I'm there for the company and not the food! Ha! ha!

my husband eats SAD, I can't even remember the last time he's even eaten anything green. Maybe canned green beans at thanksgiving. He eats foods that I think are disgusting like chili dogs, bologna, spam, barbecue, etc. He won't even try my raw food. So - his food is gross to me - that's why I don't want any of it.

support is sooo wonderful!
i am happy you have that.
while i was trying to wean myself off of sad foods, i did alot of reading on how awful the stuff is, esp gmo's (and face it all junk food is gmo based)
just disgusted myself out, so it wasn't attractive to me.
also, i only bought the treats that i did not yearn after.
i am an accomplished cook, baker, candy dipper, so there can be alot of temptation there, it's just so gooood.... so when i make homemade candy, i make a kind i detest. maple creams. i won't lick a finger, spoon, bowl, or nuthin! and the fam is trembling with anticipation of their fav treat. all are happy. :)
tolerance. they tolerate my ways, and i tolerate theirs. it helps unify the unit.
and soon you won't be so tempted.
when eating out in a sad place where your fam enjoys eating out, eat a bit before you leave, bring nuts (snack baggie in purse) to sprinkle on the poor excuse of a salad they bring you...smile and ask for a lemon wedge and your salad begins to make sense. enjoy the companionship, the conversation, your surroundings, and when you get home reward yourself with a huge bowl of banana ice cream. yummm you haven't missed out at all. and everybody's happy.
ok, i've rambled on enough. :)

Ditto here. I decided I did not want to eat SAD anymore. While watching them eat and smelling the food was sometimes tempting, it did not overcome my desire to eat raw. I have had a couple slip-ups, but they were never due to watching other people eat SAD and me being unable to keep my hands off it.

Aw, your husband sounds great. Hopefully mine will get like that eventually.
I thought he supported me, but he doesn't. He supported me when he thought I was just going vegetarian. But see, he understands that. He was raised vegetarian (father was for health reasons...so his mom just cooked like that for everyone). But one day when my eating habits came up and I mentioned the raw vegan thing, he kind of flipped out on me. It was a real downer :(. I ended up going off the my raw kick for all of this past month...after I said I was going to do the 30 day challenge too :(. I'm back on it now though. I just had to realize that it's because it's new to him, and since he's deployed and can't be here while I'm doing this, he worries about me getting into things that he can't be sure are healthy for me.
I just hope one day my husband will be helping me with my orders and stuff :). That's so sweet :).
