Hello!
I just soaked and sprouted some raw buckwheat and with the final rinsing I noticed a slime? Is that okay? I soaked some sesame seeds over night and they did it as well. I'm new to the whole soaking/sprouting thing so I'm sorry if this question has been asked!!

Yes. Especially buckwheat. Note for next sprouting, rinse throughly many times throughout the day. Like 2-3 at least.

This chili turned out sooooo well! My family and I ate it for dinner and then had it for the next couple of days and it only got better!!!
Here it is:
4 c sprouted buckwheat
1/2 t curry
2 T Braggs
1 green pepper chopped
1 ear of corn, shaved off the cobb
1/4 c chili powder
little basil, oregano
pinch of cayenne
4 cloves of garlic, crushed
1/4 c honey
1 c water
1/4 c olive oil
juice of an orange
4 tomatoes
*** mix all this together in a BIG bowl and give it a stir

1 onion
1 cup of dates
1 c soaked sun dried tomatoes
*** blend all this in a food processor til it's smooth and add to the bowl. I let it sit and "brew" for 2 hours. DIVE IN!
This is a lot like the recipe that Alissa has in her book, it's really a great one!!! We live in Monerey, and it has been sooooo cold and dreary, a big bowl of chilie did the trick to perk us all up!!
If you try it, let me know!
