i wanted to perhaps try to make some flax crackers. however which flax to buy is my question? in the supermarket they have:

Linusit Gold Golden Linseeds - however packet says: It is important that Linusit Gold be taken with sufficient liquid - at least 1/4 pint (150ml) to each tablespoon of seed

Wholefood Brown Linseeds - packet also says: Brown Linseed should be taken with sufficient liquid - at least (150ml) per tablespoon

which should i buy and should i worry about the sufficient liquid warning? as you can see i am really caucious and that is why i have never bought them before.
what other seeds are good for cracker making?

thank you
best wishes

Golden has more nutrients than brown.
Try to buy organic.
I think that the brand you mentioned are usually priced way too high and the store brand pack would be way cheaper.
Flax is the best for crackers because it binds the rest of the ingredents togeather but if you want you can just use enough to act as a binder and use others (such as sesame) or use lots of veg.
You can make something like carrot and ginger crackers (or any combination you want) and use just enough ground flax seed to thicken it (it gets thicker after a couple of minutes).
