Hi,Tomorrow is going to be my first day of a 21 day juice fast. I plan on going to the store and grabbing a bunch of fruit and veges( mostly fruits) and clean up my juicer. I am fasting mainly for cleansing and detox. I definately feel I am addicted to food..I have tried to fast before and could never get pass the 3rd day. But I am feeling really sluggish so I am going to committ and I love this website for support during. I do have a question for an expert though...is it ok do drink mainly fruit juices instead of vegetables and I have heard that mixing the two is not good either? Anyways wish me luck. Tonight I pray:)

It will def help break yer food addiction. It did me. Do not strenenoues excercise while fasting, and keep a joural art pad or what ever inspires yer real feeling s and thoughts of expression. Fasting will realease all that, and life is beautiful.' to quate Nikki Sixx's new song.
Best wishes. I love to fast now, It took me 6 months of being raw to atempt to start one, and do it for You~ not dumb inscure brainwashed husband or boyfreind who wants you to be a size zero and prob does not derserve you anyway.
Fasting releases massive creavity...... My personal experience only.. can't speak for othrrs,,,,,, <3

Ideally, you want to keep your juice recipes no more than 3 ingredients.
If your body can handle mostly fruit juices, so be it. For those that have blood sugar issues, they find balancing them out with greens, helps out alot.
Green juices are great to neutralize the toxins and very friendly to the liver/colon as a few benefits.
Certain greens go well with certain fruits. Celery is a nice base for fruit juices. Swiss chard is the most dense (nutrionally) of all greens.
It becomes a matter of choice. It's preferable to strain and dillute the juices while fasting.

Oh perfect, thanks for the info. I love fruit so I was hoping I could juice fruit mainly. I was thinking about adding wheatgrass. I have never had swiss chard.. but I will definately try that. Thanks again.

Wow I love this site. I really appreciate the feedback. I am really excited to get in control of my food addictions and definately detox and cleanse the insides. I don't really need to lose weight, so I probably wont exercise too much during my fast...maybe just some walking outside to clear the mind.
