Hello!
I'd love to start a water fast right now. I am a school teacher and have only a few days left to teach. Do you think it would be okay to start a water fast while working? Has anyone successfully worked while water fasting? I think it will be good because it will keep my mind off of the fasting part. What do you think? Thank you!

I chuckled reading this. I'm really curious what grade and subject you're teaching. Everyone's different, but water fasting is very challenging for me. My nerves can get shot. I isolate to fast. I can barely tolerate people when I'm juice fasting, but that's me. But if you do, keep us updated!:)

Maybe start on a Friday because the first 3 days or so are the roughest.

Excellent suggestion Dream~
Why not use the few days of teaching to transition INTO fasting.
Besides, why would you want to do a rather intense concnetrated fasting such as water if this is rather new to you while working? Make it realisitic and tolerable for a effective fast.
Keep it simple

I agree with Miss Linda all the way.
I've been doing a juice fast while working full-time and it's a challenge. Because of this experience I would probably never do a water fast while working as it would be a bit tough. Heck, I wouldn't recommend a long term juice fast like I'm doing while working full-time, but hind sight is 20/20 and a lesson is learned.
Fasting really is an inward act and having to give outwardly while doing one isn't the easiest. Stress actually hinders ones progress while fasting and if you know you'll be in a stressful situation during your water fast, it may help to reconsider or do a small one over the weekend like MissLinda suggested. I've read that fasting one day a week for a year is a whole lot more beneficial than doing a longer fast that contains stress.
Just some thoughts. I wish you the best on your fasting journey!:D
