...fresh squeezed orange juice! I kid you not, it's delicious. I tried it out on a very simple salad with red leaf lettuce, avocado, chopped onion, and a pinch of celtic sea salt and it was amazing. I guess my all time favorite is still the Caesar dressing in Alissa's book, but the orange juice is so light and sweet...and simple!

Anyone else have a favorite they'd like to share? I'm always looking for new dressings to try out (and I'm not crazy for vinaigrettes  )...

I like to just mash up an avo...add alittle water to "cream" it, then add some herbs like basil, or an italian mix, salt, garlic powder. I just kinda throw in the flavor I want at the time. This is chunky, but I stir it into the salad. Lots of flavor, and creamy. I like your idea too. Maybe I'll take an orange camping to squeeze over my salad!!

Oh yeah...Sometimes I don't mash the avo, but just squeeze 1/2 lime over my salad, probably gets the same citrus-y effect that the orange does???

I love creaming orange juice with the avocado! That is really good! I also like combining orange juice with walnuts or tahini for a yummy dressing!

Okay, now I am hungry!

Mango-Macadamia nut! I had this at a prestigous restaurant where they made me a delicious salad of baby greens, avo, mangos, and strawberries. I usually dump in maybe 1/2-3/4 cup of macadamias, a little water, and then enough mango to make it thick enough to pour. YUM!!!!!!

OK Beckla had a great dressing so I tried it and its really great!

But as a chef I must see where things can go so I made it again and added some stuff.

I Liked french dressing so here is a raw version

first start with Becklas awsome dressing

1 med. yellow onion
1 tbsp. honey
1 T celery seed (this is key)
2 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 C apple cider vinegar
3/4 C olive oil

Blend in food processor until smooth and enjoy!

Now I added 3 more (or to taste sweet like french) T of raw honey

1 med carrot

half a red bell

1 med clove garlic

Cyanne pepper to tast ( I put it in every thing)

celtic sea salt - good heavy pinch

Now it is a bright orange and reminds me of french dressing!

THANK YOU BECKLA!!!

omgawd, that is soo true! I remember the first time I tried it, I think because I wanted something "different". I was using a lot of fresh herbs in the greens so the orange juice was the right compliment to the other flavors. ...ahh, I have to start doing that again!

The macadamia nut sounds good, what else could we add to that? Bannana, Cocconut. I was thinking of trying olive oil with Lemon pepper, am new so don't know if that Ok. Susan
