Hi! I am thinking about picking up a new raw food book and was wondering if you could give me your favorite book. So far in my raw & living foods library I have -

Living on Live Food
Raw Food Real World
Eating for Beauty
Rejuvenate Your Life

I'm thinking about getting The Sunfood Diet by David Wolfe but was just curious as to what you all would recommend. Thanks in advance!

When I first started, I ate up every RAW Book I could find and it help me stay RAW. Now I am off my training wheels and riding on my own. But I still like to read about RAW........

The Raw Food Bible is great. it should be renamed the guideline for non toxic living because it encompasses every toxic aspect of the lives we live and how to get the upper hand on them. it also has some good recipes at the back, including a couple of alissa's

I mostly play it "by ear" but I do have Raw food made easy (for 1-2 people) by Jennifer Cornbleet. I've enjoyed it.

Tell us more about what you want!

Are you most interested in recipes, or most interested in the oither stuff - the benefits, teh science and that sort of thing? Do you want photographs?

Obviously, I'd recommend Alissa's book, but since you already have that...

I've read Sunfood Diet Success System - it is more of a self-help book of sorts than an exclusively raw food book, not that that's a bad thing. It is quite good and I found it very uplifting - it just depends on what you're looking for. There aren't many recipes, either, if that is ultimately what you're after.

Raw by Juliano is a very pretty book, if you like all the food pics in Raw Food Real World (and who doesn't like food pics?? ;) ). Personally, I'm interested in getting Ani Phyo's new book.

Hmmm...I'm interested in getting Ani Phyo's book too but not necessarily looking for a recipe book. I don't really know :p I think I'm looking more along the lines of the science behind the benefits of being raw vegan, maybe Gabriel Cousens book Conscious Eating would be a good choice. How would you all rate that one?

Has anyone ever read Raw Spirit by Matt Monarch? I saw it in the health food store the other day and was wondering if it was worth reading. I'm new to raw, have Alissa's book and one other one. I'm looking for a book about transitioning and/or what's wrong with SAD.

I'm trying to convince my husband, but he's always asking "why", and who said what, what evidence is there. He has been doing raw with me, but misses the social aspects and comfort of the SAD. I just tell him to trust what he sees in the mirror (he's lost 20 lbs) and how he feels. Oh well.

Here are some raw food books that I really love and find very useful in staying raw day to day.....

Rawsome by Brigitte Mars
Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine by Gabriel Cousens
Raw Food Life Force Energy by Natalie Rose
Raw Food for 1 or 2 people by Jennifer Cornbleet (since I am the only raw one in my house)

Hope these suggestions help!

He actually gave me a free copy once. It is DEF a good read. He puts the raw food life in words from his own experiences.
