I can't get Alissa's book in the UK :(

I was geared up tonight to buy Alissa's book and DVD. I went to the UK supplier and they are sold out. So I thought, no worries, I'll order it direct from the US - but the cheapest shipping is $59.21 which makes the total order $114.21 (!) which I don't have available right now. It's not available on amazon.co.uk either.

Do you think if I contacted some of the raw food chefs and instructors in the UK they would have copies of the book for sale or doesn't it work like that?



P.S. Please can you come to the UK? We have the dubious honour of being the fattest nation in Europe so we need your message!

Did you try www.shazzie.com she sell Alissa's book, is that where you were trying to get it!

I would bring you one but I am not coming home until next year! But hey if you still have not recieved it by then. . . :rolleyes:

Contact Allissa and ask to whom she destributes, I would think that is your best bet.

If all else fails I would be happy to have you send it here and I will post it to you regular mail that would be much cheaper. I am so glad you are getting the DVD too it is worth every penny. Also try Shazzies three DVD's & book too!

Hi Shooting Star, I'm in England too and got my book by mail order from The Fresh Network. Have you tried that? I think Fresh and Shazzie only charge £6 maximum for postage.

The book is great - very down to earth and inspiring and the recipes are great!!

fresh network are out of stock and shazzies site only sells the DVD - however I just clicked on the site of one of the teachers and they have the book for sale - so problem solved :)


btw - very excited to find someone raw living so close. What side of London are you? I'm in Berks.

there are other Londoners here, just lurking in the shadows. I got my book and Dvd from the Fresh Network a couple of years ago, i know they've just been taken over by a new bunch so i don't know how good they are at the moment. good luck :)

Hi Clamity and English Tracy - good to know there are people nearby who are raw. There seems to be a few people from London. haven't found many in Berks yet but will keep looking - or maybe will have to start my own mini revolution - lol.

I picked up my book from the post office on Saturday and a have already read it cover to cover twice!

I just love the planning section. Although I was enjoying eating raw, I kept running out of food because I was struggling to plan food for the week. I just love the idea of making up a batch of food for a few days and then eating when you are hungry. Works so much better than planning each meal, e.g. that you will eat a mango for breakfast next Tuesday when you don't know that you will fancy a mango then!

Yes Anna is the person I got the book from in the end. She posted it the day of my order so I got it really quickly.

I had a half hour chat with Anna on the phone too about raw living - she is lovely and very supportive. She convinced me to do the 100% for 30 days too.

The book is great. I've really enjoyed the week 1 recipes. You must be very pleased with it as it is beautiful.
