Hiya :D

I used to come here a lot to read and post, but i quit as i lazily fell out of my raw ambitions

but....

IM BACK!

yesterday i did a lot of thinking and feeling, and i thought a lot about how ive been the last two months. well, the results were kind of scary. i realised that when i was at my raw top two months ago, i felt soooo good and my body was there with me, i was really on my way towards healing. but. well, then i was made head of costume in a play, and worked for 15 hours per day, "broke up" with one of my closest friends, worked and worked and worked, and forgot all about healing.
so since then, ive been gaining weight, my stomach is acting wierd, ive stopped listening to my body and ive been sleeping very un-well.
so i want to get back on track!
i NEED to get back on track!

i set a goal for myself to be at least 50% raw from now on, no excuses, ignore cravings. i also want to quit coffee, sugar and bread (my comfies), and drink more water.
the thought of fasting for some time during the summer also struck me, but i feel i need to read more and get more info on that before plunging into a fast (feast).

so i just wanna say, hi y'all
and if you have any tips or tricks on how to keep it up raw, please share

Stick with very small goals that you are highly MOTIVATED and PREPARED to on a daily basis. Make a list of these - with timetables.

I wouldn't fast. Fasting is not something to just jump into.
Get yourself grounded in eating healthfully first and really set. Then do a fast, if you think you need one at that time. You'll probably not.

Congratulations on making it back :).

Best,

Hi there,

Welcome back!! You can do it!! Start by writing out a list of all the raw foods that you really enjoy eating and go out and buy a bunch of them. The idea is to feel very abundant about raw and enjoy the process.

Wishing you all the best!

thanks for the ideas!

well, im not gonna jump into a fast, its thougth i have that i want to try some day, but itll be a while before that ever happens

i made a plan today which is to first of all thry cut out all processed foods, like, meals, bread, soy and other from-the-factory things, so my diet is mostly vegetables, cooked and uncooked.
then ill move on to eating less cooked, and take that as far as possible. im not aiming to go 100% any time soon. i just want to eat better and feel more whole.

over the summer itll be easier, i think, because fruits and veg is cheaper now. i love green smoothies and salads, so i guess ill be having lots of those...

welcome back! I would say the best suggestion I can make is to make sure your house is well stocked with a good variety of fresh fruits and vegetables that you like the most. Also I would browse through some raw cookbooks and do some meal planning ahead of time so you don't get bored with eating the same thing over and over again. The more you experiment the more things you will find you like and from there you will build a base of foods you really really like. Before you know it you will find alternatives to the SAD foods you like and they will taste just as good or even better and without the guilt and negative health affects! Best Raw wishes to you. You deserve this for yourself because you are worth it!:)
