Caramel?

Does anyone have a recipie for raw caramel, or something that tastes like it. That's my biggest weakness when I want to cheat.

lytlsprout i did a quick search on here for you and here is a recipe that Raw Priestess posted on the forum a couple years ago hope this helps the cravings

1 cup dates (pitted and unsoaked)
1/4 cup almond milk
1 dash sea salt
1 tsp vanilla extract, or 1 inch vanilla bean scraped
1 T raw honey

Mix all ingreients in a food processor until smooth and well blended.

to make caramels, place in an oiled (coconut oil or olive oil) shallow pan, and dehydrate until firm, aproximately 24 hours, cut into cubes and freeze for future use. Take out a few at a time to munch on.

For an icecream topping, simply add more almond milk until desired consistancy and pour onto banana ice cream. Top with chopped pecans and dehydrated cherries for a truly decadant dessert.

This recipe is one of my most favorite, using it as a dip for apple slices is so delicious.

I made this for Thanksgiving to dip apples into. It was soo good!! One thing that I have found that you can add to caramel recipes to really give it that real flavor is adding a couple drops of butter flavoring from the heatlh food store. It really changes it and gives it that authentic flavor.

This is my absolute favorite caramel recipe and all of my kids liked it.

You can make a really easy caramel sauce by blending raw honey and agave with nut butter. Can't wait to try the caramels recipe!

I have tried this recipe before and it is pretty close to caramel.

The secret is the dates and maple syrup I think.

My friend, the better chef, just made the raw milky way bars that were on this site. Banana search .for them.... OH MY GOSH!!!! Going to have some tomorrow. I can't wait!!
