I keep reading how wonderful raw ice cream is. Will an ice cream machine help? I read you have to mix the ingredients in an ice cream maker. Does any of them turn by itself?

I make banana ice cream, and I love it.

You only need salt if you're using an "old-fashioned" style ice cream maker like this...

These "old fashioned" ice cream makers come in both hand-crank and electric variates, but I don't recommend them due to the need to constantly purchase rock salt.

It includes a "bowl" that you keep in the freezer until you are ready to make some ice cream. It's very convenient, and makes the BEST raw vegan ice cream!

I got mine at the Goodwill for $10.

It looked like it MIGHT have been used once.

I am reading that soy lecthin will help make ice cream without a machine. I also have slippery elm which I dont know if it is good for ice cream or pudding.

I bought my Cuisinart Ice Cream maker at williamssonoma.com for $40 a few years ago it now shows at $59 but I am sure you can get it cheaper; perhaps target, walmart etc.
