I have some of those nibs and I still have it---haven't quite figured out what to do with them yet. No raw powder in our area and not ready to take the leap of buying online just yet. :(

When I dont have raw hemp protein powder to put in my green smoothie, I'll put a scoop of raw cocao in it. I eat either RP's Brownies or raw chocolate mouse every single day. I guess you can say.. I'm addicted!

Yes, it contains caffeine, babyphat.

moma-rawma, you can ground those nibs into chocolate powder (cocoa).

Best,

When I first got the recipe for Raw Priestess's brownies, I ate them night and day. Then I noticed two things:

1. I couldn't sleep!!!
2. I gained weight

Soooo.. with heavy heart, I had to stop eating them. Now I save them for special treats.

Funny thing. When I first went raw I craved chocolate big time and I did eat it daily. Either as chocolate mylk in the mornings, RPs brownies at lunch or in some other fashion. Since I've been drinking green smoothies every day? I rarely have it anymore. And I was a huge chocolate fan. I mean when I first saw the big containers of Hershey's syrup? I wanted to be hooked up to an IV!
Every so often I'll endulge.

Hi babyphat, I have a chocolate smoothie using 1Tbsp of cocoa every morning and I have not even once had the slightest problem with it. It has improved my health a lot and I noted a significant benefit to the appearance of my skin (probably due to the incredible amount of antioxidants). I too was very nervous the first time I tried some and posted on this forum to get their feedback on the reactions to it and researched into it. Some things made it out to akin to poison, others said it was the best food in the world and trying it...it's definitely the latter for me! The best advice I got and is still the best for anyone trying a new food is EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND HENCE EVERYONE'S BODIES REACT DIFFERENTLY. So just go for it...try a small amount and listen to your body.
By the way, for you guys that use cocoa butter, can you just scoop it into a smoothie out the jar or does it require warming first to melt it like coconut oil?

I pretty much just use raw cocao nibs in a smoothie either once a day or every other day. The only time I eat a lot is in a raw dessert which is not very often (1-2x month)

I used to eat cooked chocolate almost daily. Thankfully it wasn’t SAD chocolate - but organic, dark chocolate with very little ingredients. Most of the time it was 100% chocolate (unsweetened). Now I get my "fix" through the nibs.

I have never tried raw chocolate!!!!!! Isn't that sadly pathetic???

Actually, I have eaten cocoa nibs--- hated them at first and then started to love them over time after my taste buds changed.

I have been wanting to indulge in some raw cocoa powder for a long time! I need to just GO FOR IT!! :)
