Hi--I am new here...
I have read through various threads...even tried googling...
HOw do you "figure" what percent raw you are?
Currently I am 8 weeks post partum and nursing so not taking the full jump yet....
But my Breakfast lunch and snacks are raw.....Dinner will be something cooked (for now)...if I do a dessert...it is raw.
So how do I figure what percent raw I am?
I am hoping to be about 75% or so.....but not sure what I am.
Thanks!
(And I am on my 2nd week....with an interruption of going to Disney World--where I did my best, but my dinners were heavier on the cooked than I usually do at home. I went to a girls night out a couple of nights ago and the ladies said I was glowing...something I thought you lose when you have the baby).

You kinda have to figure this on your own for the most part. For me, I eat 3 meals a day, no snacks. I round up or down to the nearest 5% based on which direction I felt seemed more honest. When I started, I tended to refer to a day that I ate 2 raw meals and one meal that was cooked as a 70% raw day. I rounded up becuase there would usually be some raw ingredeint in the meal somewhere. Some days for that 3rd meal I would have a veggie sub which was raw except for the bread. In those cases I considered myself 85% raw. When tallying up over time, I averaged up my daily percentages and again rounded to the nearest 5% based on my own reasoning of which way it should go. For exampl,e, when seeing my raw percentage for the week, if I rounded up to 70% most of the days that week, I would round down for the weekly average.
Percentages are kind of a pain for most people, and even a touchy subject as I have learned even with myself. I was going 100% raw for sometime there, only to learn that perhaps some of the foods I sued may not be considered by everyone to be truly raw. So was I 100% or just "high raw"? Who cares? As long as I am comfortable with where I am, that is what matters.
FYI - I am going to make a clear shot at truly 100% raw here soon once I finish off these "controversial" things around the house.

Sure. There are many posts on this...and methods. A rough figure would be how many all-raw meals you eat per day. If you eat 3 meals a day....and one all-raw....you are roughly 33% all-raw. Simple.
-You could divide that up further: I eat 1/3 raw at one out of three meals per day. You are then 1/9 or about 11% raw! It's all just a rough estimate anywho.

ditto the explanations, LOL! :p
I just say I eat mainly a raw food diet. My brekkie, lunch and dinner are all raw except for a small cooked part i throw in some nights.
