Can someone please help me! I have been trying to live a raw food lifestyle, but I am addicted to chocolate and diet coke! I don't know what to do to get rid of the cravings. I even did the Master Cleanse but the cravings wont budge. Any advise?

-Cut down slowly on the things that YOU think are bad. Establish goals and a timetable.
-When you WANT good food choices and health more than you WANT poor food choices and self-recrimination.....you WILL dwell there.

In the book Naked Chocolate there is a list of vitamins and minerals that you might be craving if you crave chocolate. Top of the list is magnesium. I can't remember the rest but can look it up for you later. I've found that raw chocolate doesn't give me the same cravings as cooked. I even found a bar yesterday at the back of the cupboard that I had forgotten about. Believe me, i had never forgotten about cooked chocolate before!
Not sure about coke, but it could be the caffeine / sugar hit that you need for energy. So maybe green smoothies are the answer here.
You could try using EFT to beat the cravings www.emofree.com for the free manual or ask me as I'm a practitioner.

Thanks David for that great advise. So simple, but so true.
Shooting Star, thank you for your advice as well. I have tried looking for raw chocolate as i have heard that it doesn't leave you craving but does provide the nutrients which you talked about. The green smoothie would probably be really helpful for me however i dont have a juicer or a blender...i should invest in those essentials! I had a look at that site and am really interested in the EFT. But, to be honest i didn't fully understand how it works.
Anyway, thanks again!

I was a big diet coke drinker. That was my thing! If you seen me anywhere I would be drinking a huge diet coke. I found that I just had to give it up all at once because if I would drink just one I was back on it.(even worse) It took about 2-3 weeks to get needing it out of my system, and about a year before my brain quit asking for it or thinking about it. Now I can't even remember the last time I had one. It is not even a issue anymore!:p I did get a headache for the first few days after going cold turkey. You know the saying "If I can do it any one can." So true!

Yes, you still can have chocolat and the raw version, lol....:) I actually had some raw butter cup today.
Be grateful that you have let go that diet coke. I don't understand why they still allow any product containing aspartam to be sold.
With your raw diet, your toxine will gradually flush away and your addiction will heal. May i suggest to make the effort of taking green smoothies or green juice (freshly home made_kale, or spinach, or parselis, or dandelion, or......any greens with fresh fruits). It will heal your addiction and assist you better on this raw journey.

It helps me to remember that aspartame/nutrasweet is a major nerve toxin. People who get cold sores break out after having it. Kids seem to get hyper and cranky on it. Migraine sufferers are wanred by their docs to avoid it. Obviously it is nasty. You can pour some on the corrosion around an old car battery and it will melt it off (My mechanic-pal uses it in her shop...yeeash)
Obviously, it is beyond toxic. A known nerve toxin and carcinogen. Drink coffee if you must. Have tea. Eat organic chocolate...but leave the diet coke for the mutants and car batteries!
As for the chocolate, there are some very good raw chocolate sauces out there. You could enjoy some on banana ice cream guilt-free. Cacao powder with nutmilk and a touch of vanilla and sweetener (Stevia or agave) makes a rich and sinfully good chocolate shake.
