Anyone gonna be fasting on the upcoming full moon? I will be doing a 2 day water fast I believe. Or add a liver flush with it... First time doing a water fast. I have already done the master for 40 days. I have done 10 liver flushes. The list goes on. But I have read about the benefits of the full moon combined with fasting, So I want to try that.

So when you water fast, you dont add any pills? Like spirulina or chlorella> I have pill form of those and wondered if that would boost the effect at all? What about adding lemon to 1 gallon water bottles? Or should it be just str8 water? Nothing else? Also if you do add the juice of 1 lemon to the water, does the water help take away the acidity a lil so it wont damage teeth? I usually drink smoothies etc with a straw, but when i drink my water I drink it from my glass gallon jar jug, they dont make straws that big lol!!!

Yes I will be howling, Would you like a shout out>? lol

FULL MOON
You are naturally accelerated on a full moon. You are at your highest energy level. The secretions in your body will be at their maximum, so you don't want your energy being used to consume food. Save your energy to reconstruct yourself. Try to drink only liquids on this day.

Hmm looking at the pics Elizabeth, it looks like the Moon is full on the 28th, but I read it was the May 31/1st of June... Confused. DO u fast often during the Moon being full? Any links of sites with the spiritual enegetic effects of the different moon phases?

See I knew I wasnt going coco loco... LOL

I have fasted with the full moon before and am going to be trying to incorporate more awareness of seasonal /lunar/even daily etc., energies into my life..

Enjoy the reading..and fasting!! :)

Thank u so much young woman.

LOL.

I will read those sites. Do you know by chance what this full moon is on? Meaning, Is Sagit the transit, or whatever its called, YouknowhatImean righ? What sign is the moon in I guess is what Iam asking> LOL

Also.. Do you only fast on the Full when energy is high, or do u fast on the New moon when energies are low as well?

Also do the planets in each of the 12 houses change each month> How can I found out what planets are in my houses?

What a beautiful way to celebrate the full moon.

I have been naturally dry fasting until 3-5 pm most days and feel it to be more powerfully purifying for me these days.

The juice and water fastings are a bit to heavy now. My goal is to balance every cell in my body even further into healing. Connect with everything within and around me.

i naturally 'dry fast' everyday until 1pm, usually.
i am thinking about fasting on the full moon, when does it start/end (like the time)?

Davylp25
05-22-2007, 05:51 AM
Im starting on the morning of the 31 of May just for 2 days... Water water water. Im also gonna flush my liver that night as well... which works perfect because when you do that your supposed to not eat anything after 2pm. So works for me...

Just a quick question...what is dry fasting?

EXCERPT

DRY FASTING
This is the simplest method because one doesn't put anything in the mouth, not even water. The organism (body) should be kept without any liquid during the whole fasting period. Dry fasting gives 2 to 3 times higher efficiency for the body cleaning (excreting) system. In making a comparison, it can be said that 1 week of dry fasting is as efficient as 2 to 3 weeks of ordinary fasting (when only clean water is allowed).

Fasting without any water can last from 1 to 14 days. It depends on some factors. The drier and the hotter the air, the shorter one can stay without drinking. One can spend less time dry fasting when more physical activity causing perspiring is involved. If these factors are typical (normal), the ordinary man can stay without drinking for about 7 days. While dry fasting, one should regularly check the hydration of the skin, which indicates amount of water in the body. The amount of the water (body hydration) can change in the organism within some limits. If it goes lower then the lowest allowed limit (below critical point), it cannot be restored and the body will stop functioning (die). In normal conditions the average person can stay without any drink, not risking passing the critical point, for 4 days.
Another important factor deciding, how long a person can dry fast, is the amount of toxins accumulated in the body that have to be excreted using water (as solution and transportation mean). If, for example, before fasting the person had eaten a lot of salty foods, he/she should not start dry fasting before the body excretes all the excess salt. One can conclude from this, it is better to fast on water before starting dry fasting. It's a good idea to start fasting on only pure water for a week and then continue without any water for another week. If you plan to fast longer, you can consider stopping water consumption in the last week (up to two) before the end of the fasting. Anyway, after fasting on water only for a few days, the need for drinking goes down so much, that one ordinary doesn't feel thirsty for more then just a few spoons of water a day. During any fasting don't force your body to drink more then it clearly asks for.

In my own personal opinion, I wouldn't recommend dry fasting for full days for those that are new to fasting or have not had the opportunity to cleanse and rebuild even though the artical generally points out that the average person can dry fast for several days. Partial day fasting is doable for new fasters.

Hi Elizabeth!! ;)

What is a Blue Moon?

There are in fact two definitions for a blue moon. According to the more recent definition, a blue moon is the second full moon in a calendar month. For a blue moon to occur, the first of the full moons must appear at or near the beginning of the month so that the second will fall within the same month (the average span between two moons is 29.5 days). May 2007 will have two full moons: the first on May 2, the second on May 31—that second full moon is called the blue moon.

Note that the May 31 date applies to most of the Western Hemisphere, including the United States. In the Eastern Hemisphere, the full moon in question will occur on June 1. For that half of the world, the blue moon will be on June 30, 2007.

for confirmation, I will do a full dry fast on May 31 st and end morning of June 1st.

Aloha Davy,

Journey started 2004 with challenges along the way. I was already a high raw vegetarian but did alot of cooked tofu and soy products.

Since last summer I was 100% mostly mono raw eater without slips and then had a week or two of a lil cooked vegetarian here and there in August. Worked into a lengthy fast when my "symptoms" appeared. Stayed raw after this last fasting ending in April. Dry fasting has become natural for me and feels refreshing.

I would guesstimate that I have done approximately 6-8 short and lengthy fastings combined in the last year or so. Prior to that, was more partial or one days fastings. In the past, I've done partial dry fastings but not to the level that I feel now with my body.

Talking about Dickinson: In Amsterdam you can read the following text of her on the wall of a house:

To make a prairie it
takes a clover and a bee.
One clove , and a bee,
And revery.
The revery alone will do,
if bees are few

So you feel also love :) inside ?
A blue moon is poetic enough, nothing has to be added.

"Though lovers be lost love shall not"

Good morning Blue Moon Fasters.....

Blue Moon is around the corner and more than excited for everyone's new beginning. I feel the deep center of change...it's a little overwhelming as I have been watching those around me make the "leap of change." Several quick stories........

Yesterday, I had a friend who is well in their mid thirties call crying saying she wished she treated her little puppy better than she did growing up as a young girl. Her cry and tears exited out like a bowl was going to be filled. I smiled thinking of the Blue Moon and how it's arrival is climactic yet neccessary to disperse the old from us and start fresh/new.

A second friend reported that after close to 20 some years of marriage, her husband for the first time decided to work on quitting his somking habit. Mind you, she has been hoping this for a couple of decades. In the past, he refused to get his health checked or chest x-rays. Out of "nowhere," two nights ago, he shared with her that he would like to quit smoking and get some x-rays done.

My good friend of 15 years, called to say he finally decided to divorce after 13 years of marriage b/c his wife finally admitted there is no real love just a body in the home and she was never in love with him as some of us tried to express to him for the longest time. He told her that he want to be happy in life and that means starting over without her.........* chuckles * goes well with the new sportscar he bought!

Blue Moon Stories and share your too.....

Todayis a day of emotional husbandry for me.

A day of letting go of any deep memories after I allowed myself to recall and "relive" them, that have opened up the last 5 days. Last night I drempt of my father who walked out of our 17 years ago. In the dream, he wanted to make peace. I woke up and smiled thinking of the Blue Moon.

Enjoying some harp music and just sitting here to "be."

;)

I feel slightly dizzy and lightheaded. Oh well cant cry to momma. Drinking my lemon water with it's straw. The Moon has been in Scorpio, till in transitions tonight to Sag - Scorpio- which is a water sign, which is what I is... lol... So, need to stay grounded, especially my emotions... * Iam a tree, my roots run deep* lol But Im fine with it.

Thanks LizBeth, for the link to the BLOG. Mucho appreciated!

~Davyp25, my closest friend is a Scoripio! LOL, I know what you mean by "can't cry to Mamma." I remember days fasting where I fel like I could stay in a fetal position crying and whining.....but then it feels good. ;)

Boy today has been a swirl of changing events! As life events close,issues/concerns close, the new doors are definately opening.....I'll be ready to step out June 1st tonite!!! Been dry fasting and it feels sooooooooo energetically good!!! Symbolically, I have an important meeting on June 4th few days following Blue Moon that will be a turning point for me :)

I totally have to share these song lyrics!

When I had my back and neck injuries in 2004, this was the only song my mind body and spirit wanted to hear (played on repeat ) It's by Seal called Love's Divine.

I remember laying in bed unable to move and somehow this song, three years later, makes so much sense and this journey reflects that song and the excitement of the Blue Moon.

"Love's Divine"

Then the rainstorm came, over me
And I felt my spirit break
I had lost all of my, belief you see
And realized my mistake
But time threw a prayer, to me
And all around me became still

I need love, love's divine
Please forgive me now I see that I've been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name

Through the rainstorm came sanctuary
And I felt my spirit fly
I had found all of my reality
I realize what it takes

'Cause I need love, love's divine
Please forgive me now I see that I've been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name

Oh I, don't bet (don't bend), don't break (don't break)
Show me how to live and promise me you won't forsake
'Cause love can help me know my name

Well I try to say there's nothing wrong
But inside I felt me lying all along
But the message here was plain to see
Believe me

'Cause I need love, love's divine
Please forgive me now I see that I've been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name

Oh I, don't bet (don't bend), don't break (don't break)
Show me how to live and promise me you won't forsake
'Cause love can help me know my name

Love can help me know my name.

Hi, everyone...:) It was nice doing some fasting with you all!! It was stormy here when I settled in for the night on the 31st, so I did not do my moon gazing..but the fasting went well..and after it was fiished, I celebrated with a yummy organic strawberry feast..LOL..:D Now I am doing a kind of modified fast..eating very lightly and consciously..

There is definitely a good energy flowing in and around...just staying open and loose...and things are working out just fine..:) I think there is going to be a storm soon.. I just love this weather..LOVE the thunder, the wind and rain..
